This book is awesome tbh. The FL is resilient and positive. The ML is a green flag. The storyline is compelling and layered, with solid world building and far more unfolding than just interpersonal relationships. The steamy scenes are perfect. Worth every penny so far.

The characters are well-rounded, each with clear motivations and relatable conflicts, making their interactions believable and consistent with previous exchanges. While the romance could have been more intricately developed, it's not a major issue, and the historical setting feels authentic, showing the author's attention to detail in researching social norms through time.
The character of the main character's older brother, who has a mental disability, is handled with sensitivity and respect, avoiding stereotypes and maintaining a serious portrayal. However, the story could have benefitted from more tension and conflict, as after a point, the protagonist's trials lose their edge.
Despite this, the book serves as a delightful, lighthearted read, hinting at deeper themes within court politics without them being the central focus. The translation is commendable, as the translators provide helpful context through notes on cultural and historical references, ensuring a smooth reading experience with no awkward phrasing or errors.

I haven't come across a book I was eager to devour in a long time. Unusually, I'd describe this narrative as beautifully crafted. The translation is seamless too.
Many novels attempt to convey the feeling of being overwhelmed, but this story's depiction stands out. The term "답답하다" in Korean, which translates to both frustration and suffocation, is used exceptionally well here.
In essence, it's a tale of healing, but it's grounded and heavier compared to typical reincarnation stories where characters are reborn and instantly win hearts. So far, it's been engaging, but the character dynamics and how they will resolve remain uncertain. There's certainly potential for a compelling conclusion, and I'm hopeful for the best.
I really want to enjoy this novel. It has themes I appreciate, especially regarding the main character (MC) and love interest (ML) and their backstory.
I genuinely want to like this novel, but for some reason, it feels so slow and boring to me. I’m finding it really hard to focus on the overall story. I often have to take a break after every few chapters because, after an exciting part about the MC or ML, the point of view switches, and it becomes unexciting again. Sigh, it doesn’t help that the supporting characters fail to catch my attention, making it even more tedious. This affects my mindset, making it a struggle just to finish the novel.
I’ll definitely give this novel another try in the future to see if my opinion changes because I really want to like it.
