The story itself is insultingly formulaic. FL is passive, naive, and a doormat, so she enters situations with people she knows hate her and they do something to her. The male lead rescues her. Lather, rinse, repeat. I skipped from chapter 70 to 198 and missed NOTHING. The marriage is STILL a secret.
Loving this book.. constantly put myself in Brooklyn’s position, living out the character and often feel furious at Nikolas until I put myself in his position…
