The protagonist has caught me off guard in a pleasantly surprising way. He appears to be a typical unassuming Japanese main character, but in this novel, it works surprisingly well. What sets him apart is that despite having some experience in society, he refrains from acting like an entitled teenager exploiting others. The main character is incredibly overpowered, which does somewhat reduce the tension typically associated with demon lord-level foes. However, the author's skill shines through as they breathe life into the world and its inhabitants,尽管角色塑造还有提升空间. It was enjoyable reading about the protagonist and his companions embarking on a lighthearted journey amidst a world torn apart by constant demon chaos.
While it's not without flaws –承认它的节奏较慢,主角确实显得平凡且有时懦弱,拥有神一般的力量– it aligns nicely with my current reading preferences. So, while it may not satisfy everyone's tastes, it hits the sweet spot for me.
As other reviewers have pointed out, the isekai concept in this story involves a unique twist - a protagonist who is transmigrated into the original plot of an otome game, coming from a modern world. It's a tale filled with misunderstandings, making it less appealing to everyone's taste.
However, based on my personal experience with the novel and the reviews I've read, the story tends to lean more towards amusement than frustration. The main character genuinely tries to survive, adopting different approaches - being kind to some and playful (or troll-like) with others, which often leads him into unexpected situations. He's also an underdog, being a wizard with only one spell and attending an elite academy as an ordinary person.
The narrative is brimming with comedic mishaps and miscommunications, but these elements contribute to the development of an enjoyable plot rather than serving as mere obstacles for the character to overcome through misunderstanding or dense interpretations.
I adore my wild and unpredictable MLs, but it's unexpectedly delightful to witness a connection develop more naturally. It's a gradual progression, as there hasn't been any romantic advances by chapter 161. What's also pleasing is that the FL isn't overly powerful, breaking the mold of typical Mary Sue characters. Although I'm drawn to those types, this story serves as a delightful break from the norm. I'll definitely savor it chapter by chapter, allowing the relationship to unfold gradually.
Impressively captivating, "I Created A Wealthy Island By Fishing" is an inspiring tale of resilience and ingenuity. The protagonist's journey from humble beginnings to self-made tycoon through the sea's bounty is a refreshing departure from conventional narratives. The vivid descriptions of fishing expeditions and the island's transformation resonate with readers, demonstrating the power of hard work and determination. It's a heartwarming story that leaves one pondering the boundless potential hidden within each of us.
