Do NOT waste your time with this book. The sentence structure/grammar is horrendous, the name swapping/changing is frustrating ridiculous.
Let me just say this: the scene where Mother Lin watches her daughter leave with Jiang Wan and 'couldn't help wiping the corners of her eyes' is the kind of writing that makes you put the book down and just stare at the wall for five minutes. Two women the same age. One out in the world building something, the other trapped at home raising someone else's child because her husband died and her health failed and there's nobody else. The tragedy of it all just sits there heavy and unspoken. And then Jiang Wan finds out—in her previous life, Xiaohe's mother didn't die from illness, she STARVED TO DEATH. That line hit me like a truck. 'Xiaohe had never explained the details.' She just carried it. And because of that tragedy, she broke ties with her family and only sought Jiang Wan out when she had absolutely nowhere else to go. The emotional weight of that backstory, dropped so casually in a single paragraph, is masterful. Meanwhile Chen Sunye is watching Jiang Wan cry on the train and thinking 'She really was a good comrade who was careful and cautious' because she ran away from his handkerchief offer. The man has zero self-awareness and I love it.
very good story
adventurous story
Somebody mind telling me where is this story set? So I can search a bit about their culture and socially acceptable behaviour, because without that, it makes a little to no sence to me and I would love to understand.
So far so good! I’m excited to see Diana getting a backbone.
Omg… I love this story can’t wait for the updates
Loved this book . And so glad it was completed and not dragged out . Thank you
Great story. Cried real tears and that rarely happens. The ending helped soften the tears.
Is that the end? I want more! Love your books! I hope there’s more for this book ? Their baby ?
Lea & Jayden makes a perfect couple! Great storylines and pace!
Such a great story! I love how the story flows. This is really a different type of rejection story. I am really glad I decided to pick up this book. It is such a hidden gem! Great job author, I can't wait for more updates!
