I haven't had a good read like this one in a long time, this actually made me want to start reading once again. I came here after reading the Manwha which had only 24 chapters (The manwha is meh, it couldnt capture the charm that the novel created, but it was still intriging enough for me to check the novel), and in the end I was pleasantly surprised, finished the whole novel in about 2 days. Although this was a short read, it was still a good one nonetheless, especially the fight scenes, I haven't felt this rush of adrenaline in a long time while reading, since the novel ended in only 202 chapters quite a few mysteries and plots are left unsolved and unused which I felt was a bit disappointing but I can still over look this nonetheless, although it definitly wasn't a 'masterpiece' it was still an enjoyable casual read nonetheless.
Chapters with the Emperor, Cardel, and Duke Bron are always disgusting. Ugh I hope I don't get to read more of them. They're yuck.

It was alright. The narrative progresses smoothly with minimal conflict, as despite ML's quiet moments and FL's insecurities, they manage to address significant issues before things reach a critical point.
Initially, ML marries FL for a business interest, a contractual union, since FL holds an 8% stake in her father's company, and ML aims to control the company. Over time, however, he develops genuine feelings for her and begins to prioritize her emotions and interests, deviating from his usual practice of putting business first to better care for FL. This shift complicates matters because he had previously assured her that their marriage would be devoid of emotional attachment, which led FL to avoid deeper emotional involvement with him. Consequently, ML enters a phase of trying to win back his wife. He confesses his love on Valentine's Day, and she allows him to court her. Their relationship solidifies after a tumultuous night involving alcohol.
FL has harbored feelings for ML since high school, a love that has lasted over a decade. She often behaves in a way that appears selfless but hides her own selfish desires. She manipulates situations to create tension between ML and FL and even colludes with a screenwriter friend to alter scripts to torment FL. Despite her blindness, FL has pursued a career in the entertainment industry. Upon discovering this, ML severs ties with the high school FL.

Honestly, the novel felt quite peculiar, one-dimensional, and its conclusion left me unfulfilled. I knew what I was getting into with a fake sibling romance, but there were moments where the male lead's behavior was borderline creepy. The fact that their relationship progressed when she was only 14 and he was around 20 or 21, despite it being young for the setting, raised eyebrows and surpassed my expectations in terms of complexity.
The protagonist's magical plant and luck powers, which resolved significant conflicts, struck me as a bit of a Deus ex machina. The main antagonist's actions shouldn't have gone unpunished; she should have been expelled from her family after the second mishap, considering their threats to disown them if they made any more mistakes. The justification for keeping her around, knowing she wasn't blood-related, was weak, especially since they were planning to marry – why care about disclosure then?
The ending was unsatisfactory due to the lack of depth for the romance. After resolving the main plot, there were just two chapters devoted to their love story and marriage, followed by abrupt conclusions. Discovering the pregnancy was a positive note, but the protagonist's rape and subsequent life as a prostitute were distressing. Additionally, the rushed resolution with the princess marrying the protagonist's biological brother felt contrived, with little emotional closure.
Overall, while the novel was decent with its quirks, the mismatch between my expectations and the content earned it a 3.5 out of 5. I gave it the extra point for the well-executed artwork in the manga adaptation.
