This novel is so compelling and realistic that it left me with a bittersweet feeling. It delves into profound themes such as love, aging, marriage, education, decision-making, existence, and the inevitability of death. Despite its delightful and tender narrative, it forces one to confront harsh truths. As a fiction reader, that's a bit daunting for me.
If you share my sentiment, I highly recommend giving it a read, even though certain passages about campus life, tough choices, the passage of time, and the finality of death might be emotionally challenging. But trust me, the journey is rewarding and filled with valuable lessons to be learned.
The writing style is disappointingly平淡, lacking the spark of imagination or creative flair. The descriptions are superficial, unable to fully immerse the reader in the fictional realm, and the dialogue feels contrived, lacking genuine emotion. It appears that the author is merely going through the motions, relying on worn-out clichés without injecting their own distinct voice or point of view.
Despite my hope for a redeeming narrative, this book falls short as a tedious and uninspired addition to the already crowded dungeon literature. Hindered by a dull plot, clichéd characters, and uninspiring prose, it leaves a forgettable and frustrating impression. If you're searching for a dungeon story that breaks away from clichés and offers a novel twist, it's best to seek alternatives. Save yourself the disappointment and opt for more imaginative and captivating reads instead.
Hello there, this is my first attempt at sharing an opinion on a light novel, and I apologize for any errors in my English; I'm from Indonesia. After reading up to Chapter 103, I wouldn't recommend this book to fans of action-packed stories like "Tate no Yuusha" or romance-centered narratives with a revenge theme like "Nidome." The pacing is slow, the content becomes monotonous, and it's plagued with inconsistencies that make it rather unappealing. The main character's naivety stands out, for instance, despite Miharu and company being introduced after more than 30 chapters, Rio doesn't reveal his true identity as her childhood friend, Amakawa Haruto, citing a nonsensical reason about not wanting to upset her emotions. That's just too innocent for my taste.
Additionally, my anticipation was for a compelling revenge plot against the person responsible for his mother's death. However, the story fails to deliver any substantial progress towards that goal after 103 chapters. It feels like a letdown. Overall, my rating would be a disappointing 2 out of 5. Frankly, I'm unsure why I kept reading past that point.
I honestly love it, definitely would advise it.
