This book made me laugh, cry, mad, happy, frustrated and sad. I fell in love and hate with the characters and the plot. I must say I really enjoyed this story. I can't wait for book 2.

A nice, fun, and somewhat enjoyable adventure story that I can’t really fault or commend too much. The events are well-planned and executed, but they ultimately feel a bit pointless and uninteresting. The main characters seem to be in the right place at the right time, solving problems almost by chance. Their personal goals are whimsical and unimportant, often overshadowed by random encounters and endless side plots. Additionally, the extended cooking competition subplot added to this and made me rather bored.
In other words, a well-written story that struggled to hold my interest.
