Just based off of the tags and synopsis this story seems like the gay version of Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde. That story is really good, I highly recommend it :)

I mean I read novels for the sudden adrenaline and feeling I get when characters go through a sudden major power up or get stronger so it boring to read fillers for me but it might not be the case for other people so if you enjoy reading fillers then read it but personally I dont

At the beginning I thought it was a interesting book but it's so long and it started loosing the excitements, I have read better books, actually a lot of Chinese novel, this one is the only book I actually skipped a lot of chapters bcos I was bored and sadly this is were I end the book, good luck to those who are willing to complete it, if I was to rate this book, it'll only earn one ⭐ from me.

Exactly, and it’s not like Sheyan and Fang Lin were scheming against each other as rivals or anything.Fang Lin was the one who was going after Sheyan constantly from the start and Sheyan was able to escape all his schemes. That counts as a win in my book.Just cause Fang Lin had a backup plan to keep living doesn’t mean he’s a better schemer.Sheyan wasn’t even scheming against him. He was just surviving all the BS Fang Lin was throwing his way.Author, you don’t have to wank your previous story’s MC like this. Just let this story’s MC have his spotlight, jeez.
The story is not bad, definitely worth reading, different I will say, and requires patience to enjoy
