I'll just drop this book. For 400+ chapters and I still can't figure out her plan, she can't draw line between hate and love. If she really hate him for her pity live, she'll not be that weak when she face him.
4 stars but it's much closer to 3.5.
Let's start with the good stuff. An An is adorably cute. She is just a perfect little protagonist, and when the author focuses on her and her interactions with her parents, the novel truly shines. Two thumbs up for all the parts where she’s being cute.
The problem is that the author didn’t have enough ideas to sustain a full novel centered around An An, and resorted to increasingly low-quality filler. Without spoiling too much, very early on, you get transmigrated into plotlines that aren’t executed well or particularly interesting. These plotlines are mainly there to fill space, provide some tension, and serve as an excuse for characters making bad or exceptionally good decisions. After that, you get generic showbiz plots that are mostly uninteresting. The showbiz framework is used to introduce a plethora of generic and mostly forgettable characters. The biggest issue is that there is far too much of this, which dilutes the main story.
Another significant problem is that the novel essentially ends around chapter 40, but it takes another 40+ chapters to realize it had already run its course. Once you reach the climax and resolution, there isn’t much left to keep you engaged. This is especially true since An An’s cuteness is much more subdued in the second half.
Bottom Line: This is a good work as it stands, but it could have been great if it had been more tightly edited.
The narrative has deeply impressed me. It's well-crafted and skillfully executed, showcasing a thoughtful plot with intriguing twists that spark my interest for more. What I appreciate is the depth in the relationships between the harem members; it's evident that their connections with the main character have a rich history. Despite their actions or expressions of love, I can't help but understand and empathize with them. The male lead stands out as a genuinely good person, departing from the common trope of a despicable male in transmigration stories. Lastly, for those seeking a promiscuous protagonist, note that there's only one central female character, making this story unsuitable for that expectation.

Nonetheless, I wholeheartedly recommend this book. The initial 130 chapters are fantastic. Initially, the horror isn't intense, but it gradually escalates. Although the challenges don't seem lethal, they possess their own terrifying plot. Zong Jiu, the main character, is apathetic - not inherently good or bad, but simply going through the experience. His intelligence allows him to showcase his former prowess as a magician, catching the attention of the love interest.

Initially, I believed Zhuge An to be the main love interest (ML), but upon realizing my mistake, it left me heartbroken. I truly adore him.
The main ML, No. 1, is strong, cunning, cold, and charismatic - essentially, the devil. Despite that, Zhuge An captured my affection.
In my opinion, the 'First High School' arc was the most captivating I've read. Set in a school environment, although there's less physical combat, the psychological pressure, bizarre NPCs, and gory plot make it compelling. Characters become dear to the reader.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this novel, even though I haven't finished it. The parts I've read are thrilling, and I believe the rest would be too."
Part 2:
I was absolutely infuriated reading the MC just being dumbfounded when dealing with situations he could easily have avoided if he'd actually been more attentive of his surroundings (like for god's sake, you're a cultivator, how can you not even notice someone peeking at you from outside your freaking door). Besides, there had been so many situations that could have made him progress his character and mature him mentally if he had gone through them on his own, but no, the author just had to have him use his cheat code (Ling Xi) as a mental crutch. Some people would say that these kinds of situations are fine, since they would help mature him mentally but they never did (at least up until the 300s).
Besides that, the world building in the first 300 chapters is a little below average but I've read worse, so it passes. The plot is pretty much non-existent at the start since, for the majority of the first 300 chapters, the MC really has no real goal for getting stronger really.
Chapter 20From what I know from mvs, shadow is related to immortui. And bliss is working with him. That means, bliss conspirated to kill the dragons so that inmortui could unleash the shadow plague
What's up with this shxt ending. No clarification of Ming Ji Jie problem and no return of Yao Yuan and neither the answer to why is MC sealed. I'm disappointed here with this ending.

I fail to understand how chinese author simply cannot comprehend that a protagonist can in fact suffer losses. Sure im overexagerating ny lumping all authors together but still...
Its almost as if a Mc, and any1 relates to him, cannot ever suffer a single loss because its how god decreed it to be.
Why is that? Do these authors represent stubborn people? Who refuse to admit any mistake and thus reflect that with their god protagonists.
