It is a fairly good read. The beginning of it is pretty slow and as a result can be quite the turn off. However, there is enough substance at the beginning to make it not feel like a total slog. At a certain point the MC starts progressing very fast and as a result kind of makes up for the lackluster beginning. Although there are not parts that particularly fall flat, there are some that are worse than others. But unlike other novels, you don’t need to worry about slogging through any parts. The MC does have a fairly large amount of butt-pulls and plot armor but it doesn’t impede the quality of the story too much. The world building is pretty good but there are certain parts that aren’t done well. For example, it talks about multiple continents yet the entire world is explained rather poorly. One last critique is that the power scale is unbalanced. The final level of the world has too few people and the people at the border to that level have a wide disparity in skill. Overall I would still recommend this. Read until about the Grand Examination, if you don’t like it by then leave it.
The stakes in this story hit different because they're so personal. This isn't some grand world-saving plot—this is about a girl who was exploited by the people supposed to love her, and her fight to survive and take back control. When Ye Qinglan finds 3,238.5 yuan hidden in various places around the house, that money represents years of her labor, her contributions to the family, everything she was denied. Taking it back isn't theft—it's restitution. The sleeping pill scene is where the stakes get really tense. She's risking everything: if she gets caught, she goes to the countryside with nothing, or worse. But she does it anyway because she has no other choice. And then the anonymous letters—this is where the stakes escalate from personal survival to destroying her abusers completely. In this era, adultery meant prison. Twenty years. She's not just escaping her family; she's ensuring they can never hurt her again. The conflict with Ye Bailian on the train is also interesting because it's not physical—it's psychological. Ye Bailian is terrified but can't prove anything. She's trapped in a situation where her only defense is the plot armor of being the novel's female lead, but Ye Qinglan isn't even from this world. She doesn't care about narrative rules. That's a really smart way to raise the stakes—the original protagonist's advantage is neutralized by an outsider who operates by different logic. And the warnings Ye Qinglan gives about rural dangers? That's the author telling us the real conflict is still ahead. The family drama is resolved, but the countryside is where the actual survival story begins.

Later she throws out mc and gets tye brilliant idea to make the twins believe that they sre orphans and takes them as disciples after making them believe mc killed their parents. Making his own children want his head.... there is only so much BS you can take. This novel is trash
I confess my ultimate goal in voting is to push away the release of the romance novels the farther away possible... And I wish they would revoke the releases of novels that had been on the list for 3 weeks without being choosen instead of leting it accumulate votes with time. Its unfair to the novels that come after this time... ù.ú
After a very early point in the book it becomes entirely about Chinese superiority in every field that is mentioned in any capacity. Every other nation or group is portrayed in a range from useless to down right cartoonishly evil for no other reason than they're trying to secure benefits for their own nation over others. The quality of the translation is also terrible, and entire sections are just lifted straight from machine translations with almost no effort.
Grammar is on point. The characters are well depicted. It also has a very unique interesting plot although it's not yet quite visible in the free chapters. Thanks author!
to those who read the synopsis, just read on for a bit more chapters since the first few chapters feel quite odd and different from the synopsis.
Meh i guess i dislike the system, like the whole flirting thing made no sense. How is getting punished flirting...The characters are super basic, the mc seems to have no personality, as the system will craft him into a possible simp. And all hes been doinf is obsessing over this one girl ...i dialike the female leads character.I dislike her as a person, for beinf a basic bit.ch. And the fact that ahe cant deal with such a little loss... But whats worse is that the character herself just feels like it gonna be used to push the mc in a certain. Direction and eventually make him fall in love or some cliche bs.The teacher ia pretty bad clearly she doeant know how to teach. My opinion of course. But i can already see the author gonna trick us into thinking she is a good person by saying oml she ia still teaching even though ahe had surgery. A broken boomer ia still a boomer. She can be a great person but she ia still a horrible teacher.I can see thia book consisting in just many many conaidiences with forced comedy that realistically would never happen, and ita slightly ironic. The author can give us questions that need "logic" but he isnt clever enough to give actual unique characters and unique interactions and settings, its instead incredibly cliche and basic.Oh yeah why was watching videos not relaxing... Idnt understand, if ur an introvert all that flirting would do is tire u out. Especially someome like him who has never done it. Like i said the system makes no sense and will just be a plot device to force the mc into dumb plota because the author isnt creative enough to make the character fall into that setting naturally.
Racist as Fuck, too many patriotic propaganda, Shitty abusive mc r a
3 for writing quality, Some mistakes here and there but not too bad it is average.1 for story development, Same old same old, The plot just keeps on replaying the same tropes. at the start it was good but as you go on and on it becomes shitty.1 for character design, The MC is a massive pushover and has severe brain issues to the point that I think the author has brain issues as well. several other characters are also not on point with their supposed characteristics. Honestly? I think 0 is more appropriate.4 for Update Stability, It has been continuously updating so far.1. World Background, Everyone is dumb, And no one in the story has been very realistic so far. and I just see bullshit flying all over the place.Overall review for my Library, "I'll keep it, to save it for the most extreme circumstances in which I cannot resupply my cultured library with Fanfic or Translated content."
