I'll be honest—I came into this skeptical about Shen Zhiyi. The text explicitly tells us she has a history of arguing with neighbors and, get this, HITTING PEOPLE. Like, she actually assaulted someone and Pei Xu is worried she'll do it again. That's not a cute quirk, that's a red flag the size of a billboard. But watch how she handles Aunt Jiang. She doesn't escalate. She doesn't match the neighbor's energy. She opens the door slightly ajar (smart—protective but not aggressive), apologizes immediately, and then strategically reveals Pei Xu's blindness to shift the entire power dynamic. The aunt goes from hostile to soft in literally two sentences. "Lost his sight... is there any chance of recovery?" That's a complete reversal, and Shen Zhiyi engineered it without raising her voice once. The author is clearly showing us that Shen Zhiyi is on a redemption path—"after all, she was currently on the path to redeeming herself"—but what makes it feel earned instead of performative is the small details. She replaces the glass coffee table because she's genuinely worried he'll fall. She removes bones from the ribs because she noticed how hard chopsticks are for him. She puts gloves on his hands almost aggressively because she's worried he'll cut himself again. These aren't grand gestures. They're the kind of care that comes from actually paying attention to someone. And Pei Xu? His moment of vulnerability—asking for the white cane, admitting he's been pretending—is paired with this tiny genuine smile that the text specifically calls out as the first real one since he lost his sight. Their dynamic is shifting from caretaker/patient toward something that looks like it might actually be partnership. I'm here for it.

He feels "a sense of defeat he had never felt before" and is struggling with the gap between his expectations and reality. The Yan family's tradition of single-line inheritance means the entire clan's future rests on his shoulders—Grandmother Yan literally thinks "Perhaps the Yan family, in their grandson's generation, could break the tradition of single-line inheritance?" That's a huge stake. The Emperor's pressure is external and immediate—he's so excited about the wedding that he "couldn't sleep all night" and is already planning generous rewards. Shen Yunying's thought when leaving the palace captures it perfectly: the palace walls felt imposing, and only lightened when they were gone. The conflict here isn't a battle or a betrayal—it's the slow, grinding pressure of expectation pressing down on two people who barely know each other, and that's somehow even more tense.

For me, this novel is very boring even after reading 100 chapters.
The things that mc did after 100 chapters is experiment his powers, attend class, experiment again, attend class again, it's a fcking cycle.
I don't know if it will get better but I will wait for this novel to catch up to raw before reading it again, this novel have a slow development.

It starts out strong but gets repetitive quickly. It has cool character and world building. But I personally don't like the mc and find his powers to be very boring. Recommend if you have nothing else to read but there are better isekai fantasy novels out there.

the story was very immersive. The World Building is superb, Power System, Plot and Characters was good.
Kingdom Build was okay, the MC was too reliant on the system, but it wasnt to the point he was useless without it... (Well, maybe a bit?)
ANYWAY, THE ONLY COMPLAIN I HAD IS... THE MC.
At first he was cautious, smart, rational, and cold which is I like, but as the time goes, he become soft, naive and goody goody.
He become self center idiot doing things that will cuz him trouble. sigh.
Overall, it was good. it has a lot of potential. i just dont likethe development. Its like watching an action, horror, mystery, fantasy movie turns fairy tale.
anyway, its just my opinion.
Remember turn your brain off and enjoy the levity of live like the MC. unfortunately the ending felt too rushed and Deus ex Machina that destroyed most of my enjoyment of this light novel. but for the most part I truly enjoyed the jokes
