This isn't your typical romantic reincarnation tale; I actually alternate between this and romance novels to avoid getting overwhelmed. The first part didn't impress me much compared to subsequent arcs, but I'm glad I persisted. There were a few darker moments, like the rape scene when she became the old matriarch and the sadomasochistic storyline, which were quite painful. The MC's thoughts during the latter arc were disturbing.
What irked me further was the unequal treatment of females in the story. The narrative often focuses on female resentment towards the love interests, which becomes apparent as you read. I'd prefer to find more stories that involve reincarnation without the romantic aspect.
While I wouldn't classify this story as exceptional, I wouldn't necessarily call it poor either. The translation has a minor issue with character gender identification, which gets resolved in subsequent chapters. Otherwise, the narrative is straightforward, with a basic premise, relatable characters, and occasional humorous moments. It's a light and enjoyable read for passing the time, but don't come in expecting intricate plot twists or profound character development; it's more of a simple, lighthearted entertainment.
Average, I genuinely fail to comprehend why this novel garners such a high rating. Rather than indulging in an emotional tirade against its perceived trashiness or targeting the author, I'll express my opinions and observations without resorting to toxicity.
Firstly, the rapid pace of the narrative creates numerous issues and plot holes, undermining world-building. The characters appear to adapt to the MC's convenience rather than evolving alongside the story's progression. For instance, the protagonist effortlessly uses 'primordial magic' that only a select few can master, which raises eyebrows, especially when a supposedly awestruck vampire expresses skepticism. This scene left me uneasy.
The author frequently resorts to excessive self-promotion through side characters, making the writing feel overly egotistical and edgy. The characters are one-dimensional, with the MC's intimidating presence and bloodlust portrayed as instant fear-inducers, often simplistically villainized. The antagonist's motivations are shallow, using the threat of rape as justification for mass killings, while conveniently overlooking potential complexities or context.
The portrayal of women in the harem falls short, with little depth beyond admiration for the MC. While I won't delve into controversial aspects, the lack of nuanced character development is evident. The novel presents a black-and-white view on serious issues like slavery and colonization, failing to address them realistically. The MC's unique traits seem forced and disconnected from logic.
In summary, the小说 suffers from:
1. Fast-paced storytelling
2. Flat characters
3. Lack of character growth
4. A world tailored to the MC
5. Author's biased ethical stance
6. Over-the-top writing
7. Stereotypical female portrayals
8. Predictable clichés
I encourage readers to critically evaluate these points and form their own opinions on the quality of the novel.

Never felt something more bro
Later chapters become 3/4 description rehash fillers with exaggerated amounts of reiterating the same background information and maybe a paragraph of actual story development.
The only thing I could say is, the narration is like a bolt of lightning. Way too fast and direct, more like an essay rather than a story. In my case, I could barely feel the atmosphere. The situation is throwing you here and there. Less emotions, not that engaging. Maybe, I've been fed up by typical Chinese writing, but this novel's writinh is way too bland. There are plot holes too, but it is common in this genre but the method of narration is really..
