very interesting
Terrible writing. Chapters that just drag on and on. Not worth the money.
brendan should rot in hell. not only he is torturing a blind person but asking others to humilate her as well. jealousy my ass. with story like these no body will help those who are in need for the moral of the story is Deirdre suffers because she saved a boy in fire
I need to sit down. I literally need to sit down right now. The bus scene between Fu Chuan and Shen Shutang is SO quietly perfect. They're just standing there in a crowded bus, and she's reading Dragon Raja, and he blurts out 'Jiangnan, you thief! Give me back my Yili!' and I SCREAMED. This is a guy who lived an entire past life and his emotional damage from that novel's ending carried over into this one. That's the kind of detail that makes me love a character. And then the way they talk about her writing—she's nervous about switching from female-targeted fiction to grand fantasy, and he gives her actual, thoughtful advice without any of that fake encouragement. She lights up like 'Exactly! That's exactly what I was thinking!' and you can feel the respect forming between them. It's not romantic yet, it's something better—it's two people who genuinely connect over what they create. But then—the restaurant scene. Shen Shutang sits down, orders an ice cream sundae, and starts messaging her new illustrator about frame design. And Fu Chuan is RIGHT THERE. Across the sofa. And she has NO IDEA. The moment where she types 'True friends are never apart, even if continents separate them...' while chatting with the person sitting ten feet away—this is the kind of dramatic irony that makes my heart explode. And her internal monologue about how every character in her books is 'like a child to her' and she wants the BEST illustrator? That's not just worldbuilding, that's her heart on display. She's not some cold rich girl, she's a creator who cares deeply. And Fu Chuan gets that. He gets it because he cares about his paintings the same way. I'm not ready for this CP. They're connected on three levels now—senior/junior, fellow creative minds, and client/illustrator—and she still doesn't know they've been talking this whole time. The reveal is going to be incredible.
Thank you for the update. Can’t get enough of these two.
