Nice storyline, however, you sometimes tend to switch from past to present tense and vice versa. I suggest to use past tense throughout the story because it is a lot easier. ?

Mianmian and the duke exhibit a heartwarming connection, their interactions resembling the innocent rapport of childhood friends or a tender love affair. 2. Character development is shallow. While we can somewhat guess their actions based on stereotypes, there are no standout characters with compelling depth. Sometimes, even the characters act without clear motivation.
3. Engagement is crucial in a good story, but this one falls short. From the onset, there are numerous inconsistencies and plot holes that undermine believability, leading to numerous questions that a skilled author would avoid.
4. The power source and dynamics within the tower remain unclear. The limits of abilities are not defined, making scenes involving magical feats unclear and unimpressive. This vagueness turns intense confrontations into平淡 encounters, despite the unpredictability.
5. I generally appreciate writers who balance all aspects of a story, but this novel contains many unnecessary sections that could be trimmed. Skipping chapters would hardly affect the narrative flow.
There are more points to consider, but by the 30th chapter, one would likely grasp my concerns. I wouldn't recommend this book, but if you've exhausted your other options and seek a read, proceed only if you can endure it.
