The story is interesting , however it is a struggle to figure out what exactly is being said there is many misuses of verbage and spelling

trigger warning: abuse, s3xual abuse, r4pe. the characters and story line are very compelling. the first 20 chapters feature a very weak female lead, but keep reading and she becomes an damaged, but strong woman. just keep reading. as I write the story is not finished. some plot is inconsistent.

I need to talk about Shen Huaijing because WOW. The man is a VIBE and I'm not sure if that's a good thing. First impression: he's handsome, sickly, and watches Song Xia walk into the room with this half-smile that says 'I already know exactly what you're thinking and it's amusing.' Then two seconds later he CHOKES HER in her sleep because he thought she was an assassin. BRO. That's not a romantic lead, that's a thriller antagonist. But here's the thing — and this is what's keeping me hooked — he's not just some edgy crazy person. When he tells her to sleep on the couch, it's not cruelty. It's... boundary-setting? He genuinely doesn't want to share a bed with a stranger. And Song Xia's reaction is equally telling: she's DELIGHTED. Not disappointed. Not flustered. Happy. Because she was literally ready to fight him if he tried anything. "If he had insisted on sharing the bed tonight, Song Xia had been ready to test whether she could beat him up, seeing as Shen Huaijing was a sickly weakling." I AM DEAD. This is the most honest marriage dynamic I've ever read. Two people who have zero romantic expectations of each other, both secretly relieved by the arrangement, and both hiding something. The original Song Xia's family is also fascinating — the sister-in-law who sold her for copper coins, the brother who almost stepped forward but was pulled back. That moment where Song Xia sees her brother lowered his head and stopped looking? "A spot inside Song Xia's heart collapsed with a resounding crash." Oof. That's the emotional anchor of the whole story right there. She's alone now. Truly alone. And that's what makes her determination to 'live a good life' feel so earned. I also love that Song Xia immediately starts planning her escape route — scoping out the area, thinking about using her agronomy knowledge to brew remedies, negotiating a divorce later. She's not falling into the 'I'll win him over' trope. She's treating this like a business arrangement. Which honestly? Makes her way more interesting than a typical transmigrator romance protagonist.
