What had just happened to the test had brought mental breakdown to some of the students and that included Drakios. To their surprise, they were told that half of them didn't make it out alive and fell to the ground. He could remember the exact words Arcus Vetrovius had said when they had just returned from the test:
Naruto was shaking his head. Really, going into this, neither himself nor Sakura had the skills to take this test. He wondered what Kakashi was thinking, until he thought of Sasuke. It was probably just an attempt to elevate him as quickly as possible. The jonin-sensei of Team 7 was always pandering to the Uchiha.
"B-Brad?"
Cold sweat poured down Eden's face as she slowly typed,
Standing on a very tall bridge with water running below, a young man places two twenty-five pound dumbbells on the bridge railings. Climbing onto the railings, he takes off a chain he had looped around his right shoulder, and two sets of handcuffs and keys from his pockets. Securing the chain to the weights, the weights to the cuffs and then the cuffs around his ankles before tossing the keys into the water. He watched them fall and disappear and thought--
"I Love u"
The chapter structure here is honestly brilliant and I need to talk about it. It starts at full emergency mode—body crashes through the roof, blood everywhere, fever, wound infection—and Lin Yi is moving so fast just trying to survive the situation. He goes to the seed bank, brews medicine, cooks dinner, tends the simmering pot, and by the time he sits down to browse the Star Network it's already evening. That's a whole arc compressed into what feels like a few hours. Then the pacing deliberately SLOWS DOWN with the dinner scene. The rabbit roasting description alone is like three paragraphs of pure sensory detail. Golden skin, crackling blade, fat dripping. It's almost meditative compared to the urgency before. And then—bam—Lu Jinghan wakes up and grabs him. The tension spikes again for about five minutes, then drops back down to this quiet bedside conversation. And then the next chapter opens with an entirely different energy: agriculture, live streaming, mutant beast hunting. The shift from 'someone is dying in my bed' to 'I'm going to hunt a monster on camera' is jarring in the best way. It keeps you off balance. The author isn't letting you get comfortable. One moment you're worried about infection and fever, the next you're watching a guy with a dagger wait thirty minutes in a tree for a leopard. The pacing never drags because every scene has a different emotional temperature. I stayed up way too late reading this batch and it's entirely the pacing's fault.
"HAAA!"
Suddenly I feel a surge of energy from reaching level 20 but not like the usual leveling up surge. Its much more intense.
Tang Feng watch the first kid walk at the center of the formation
"Did I approach you for love? Did I propose? Did I force...? You came along and initiated all the best dreams of my life but cheated me at the end." he blamed.
I flicked my finger positively.
