She hesitates a little but comes to me. After she says a short prayer, I let her have the first bite, and that first bite becomes like an opener of sorts that unlocks the door to other things.

Hope collapsed to the ground. She glared daggers at the man who wore an oversized coat with a scarf on a summer morning. He was followed by a sickly old man whose hairline had receded to the middle of his head.
On the night that she had been tortured Lilly had heard Dante's name being repeated over and over again by Joker, one day when she had enough of their threats she lunged herself like a madman. Though she knew that she could not beat all of them up by herself she still persisted on fighting, not only was she able to kill a hand full of men she herself had been stabbed a couple of times, when she finally couldn't take it anymore she fainted and fell on the floor.
"Just wear your clothes." Dami threw Uyi's boxers, t-shirt and jeans to him as he was already bolting out of the sitting room. She languidly walked to the CD player and turned down the volume considerably before picking her dress off the floor. A shadow was cast in at her front door and she turned to look at it. Her sixty-two year old father stood there, a walking stick in his hand and a void look on his face.
"Those floaters your friends boss?" Matthew shouted increasingly worried.
"Yes?"
Alice reluctantly nodded her head. She too want to follow him but she knows that she don't have enough strength.
"So boy! Now that you've become a big boy, are you ready for the next chapter?"
