This is a good read! seven chapters read, and I'm completely hooked! The writing style is amazing, easy to understand and really smooth! Everything about this book is intriguing, and catches attention to make one want to explore and immerse oneself into HA story! I love the book and highly recommend

'I strike you out of care, so you remember well—what your concubine mother failed to teach you, others will surely teach you in time.' Okay I need to sit with this scene for a moment. Because on the surface it's just a woman slapping another woman, right? But it's so much more than that. Shen Xinyan is basically saying: I'm doing this because if nobody teaches you any decency, you'll ruin yourself and whoever marries you. There's this weird twisted form of care in it, like an older sister who hits you because she's terrified you'll make the same mistakes she did. But then — and this is what wrecked me — A-Man reveals her own backstory. She was sold to a brothel by her own family. Her reputation was ruined and everyone turned against her, and the Empress Dowager was the only one who protected her life. All her dowry went to her husband's family who then sold her. And Shen Xinyan is sitting there hearing this, feeling the world spin, realizing that the Yao family operates on the exact same principle: women are expendable, and if you're not useful, you get disposed of. The moment that broke me the most was when Shen Xinyan nearly faints after hearing about the Sichangliaozi, and A-Man's voice actually softens. 'Alright, save your strength for later. I told you I'm living better than anyone now.' There's this tenderness underneath all the sharpness, and it made me realize that A-Man isn't just some spirit — she's the part of Shen Xinyan that refuses to be destroyed. Every time Shen Xinyan stands up to them, she's also standing up for A-Man, for all the women who didn't make it.
Ladies must read this book the main lady in book she is intelligent, strong, and beautiful. The reasoning want ladies to read this book is because you should never be afraid to be you real self
Sucked me in quickly, good story. author should spellcheck their work though, tons of spelling mistakes, missing words, and doesn’t know when to use “there, their”
