The common "isekai revenge" storyline takes a particularly grim turn. While OP abilities and harem elements have been mentioned in previous reviews, I won't dwell on them. The main character (MC) appears to be both dense and weak – not just clueless, but almost pathetically so. He passively endures mistreatment, from bullying to being a perpetual third wheel, without showing much reaction or agency. A more proactive protagonist from other isekai stories would handle these situations differently.
Adding to the absurdity, he even asks a girl, whom he's living with, to deliver a love letter for him. This level of obliviousness borders on incompetence. Additionally, there's speculation that he might have masochistic tendencies, given his non-confrontational nature.
Despite the appealing world-building, the MC's character development is a lost cause. The story seems to be heading towards a resolution where they somehow reunite in their old age or in the afterlife, though it's unsatisfying given the lack of growth for the protagonist.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first 200 or so chapters – the protagonist was captivating, and the fast-paced storytelling ensured that each plot point was engaging. There wasn't a moment I disliked, apart from a few brief exceptions. However, the MC's character took a drastic turn for the worse after that.
Initially, we followed an impressive array of heroes displaying incredible skills, with a supporting cast from the future providing occasional commentary (though not the most compelling part of the story). The diverse and well-developed characters were a highlight. But then, the main character transformed into a foolish, greedy, and narcissistic coward – someone who, more than any of his past personas, resembled the comic relief villain meant to be despised. His sole concern seemed to be the sexual appeal and usefulness of the women around him. When he discovers one of them is a traitor, he shockingly decides to sleep with all of them.
The worst part is that his power allows him to rewrite history, effectively making all the heroic actions of those great characters his own. The author tries to justify it by claiming that he was always the true hero, but this explanation doesn't align with how his power functions. He created a self-insert character, a cool and heroic OC, which wasn't really him – it was a separate entity like the heroines' counterparts. The second half of the story unfolds due to his altered past, and now he can't simply rewrite it since it's his own history.
I'd recommend stopping around chapter 210 and moving on. The series is fantastic up until that point, but the decline in quality after that point makes it hard to continue.

I have high hopes for Faith's story.
It feels like Invayne is actually doing a good story pacing over here.
From this author's more lengthy novel Reborn as a dragon girl with a system it is somewhat evident that they like to rush the plot.
