I've read it until chapter five. I will read more when available. The premise is ordinary—an average guy who found a system. Though I am very much intrigued by the system, will there be some sort of secret store? Any special missions? I hope it's a non-sentient system. The writing is excellent, and if you have read the author's fanfic, then you'd understand and feel confident about the story. I'm curious about where the MC goes and when he will enter the movies. Maybe he can enter the anime and Manga industry too? Possibilities are endless with such kinds of novels. One thing is for sure. I'll be following this story.
I love a man of few words and this author writes them perfectly. Gu Beiting's dialogue is spare to the point of being almost minimalist, but every line carries weight because of who he is. 'Tastes great!' — about her cooking, said with a smile. That's it. Four words and we know he's genuinely happy. 'Go rest.' — when he's about to leave for training but doesn't want to. The subtext is screaming. 'My wife doesn't cook for others.' — the line of the chapter. Period. Done. No explanation needed. 'Get on.' — crouching in front of her on the mountain, offering his back. Two words that contain an entire personality: practical, protective, slightly exasperated but deeply caring. 'I'm going on a mission. I'll have to leave soon.' — and then immediately softening it with 'You stay home and wait for me—I'll be back in a few days.' He's delivering bad news but he makes sure she knows she's not being abandoned. Meanwhile Mu Youyou's dialogue is all soft murmurs and flustered stammers. 'Mm.' 'Ah?' 'Gu Beiting, don't be angry with me, I…' She's not given to grand speeches either, which makes their dynamic feel so balanced. They're both people who show love through action rather than declaration. The one exception is Caicai, who provides comic relief with lines like 'Sis, you even swallowed just now—I'm sure Gu Beiting heard it' and 'Murdering the host will destroy me too.' The system companion's voice is distinctly different from everyone else—modern, snarky, breaking the fourth wall of the romance genre.
I wonder if the author hate women, or if she is kind of kinking? The story is nothing except abusive, control freak, both Anthony and Cor treat their wife like trash. like wtf. I don't think this story should be published. it makes people think its ok to endure those mistreat. this s so wrong
