A brief summary: The main character (MC) and the love interest (ML) initially have a one-night stand, which evolves into a casual sexual relationship. Eventually, they develop romantic feelings for each other. The standout character for me is MC's father, who尽管起初难以接受儿子的性取向，但他深爱着儿子。在商业交易中，他对ML的第一印象不佳。当得知儿子与ML的关系后，这位练过泰拳的父亲以其特有的方式表达了不满，让ML小小地"吃"了点苦头，这部分情节十分有趣。
As someone who diligently read through the first four volumes of this gloomy novel, hoping for a brighter turn in later chapters, I must admit, this is a novel best consumed if you're looking for a melancholic journey with no other commitments. Initially, I saw potential for greatness, but each reading left me increasingly disappointed. The plot feels rigid and occasionally forced, and the main character's single-minded focus on revenge led him to abandon those who truly cared for him.
Character development, unfortunately, is minimal. In the first two volumes, it's bearable, but it takes a nosedive from there. The protagonist is both foolish and oblivious; granted extraordinary abilities, he explores them without any strategic understanding. It leaves me wondering why he doesn't utilize specific skills more effectively in different situations, and at times, his actions border on absurdity.
In all earnestness, if you adhere to any deity you hold dear, read this novel only if you have nothing else to do, as a melancholic detour, or at the risk of avoiding it altogether.
I've given it my best shot to appreciate it and keep reading, but I simply can't connect with the content. It's evident that the author lacks firsthand experience with a psychiatric hospital, which is concerning – though that's understandable, a bit of research would have been helpful. The stark contrast between reality and the narrative is too much for me to overlook. While the plot, translation, and characters aren't terrible, there's something off about it. On paper, there shouldn't be any major issues beyond the hospital portrayal, and it should be engaging. However, it just doesn't resonate with me, as if it's missing a crucial element.
If you're not bothered by the lack of realism, perhaps it could still be enjoyable, but personally, it's not the right fit for me.
