I'm quite impressed and intrigued
At first, I found reading Arifureta somewhat challenging due to an unimpressive plot. However, as I persevered, I discovered the true appeal of the series lies in the intricate character dynamics, expressions, and reactions. The author's vivid descriptions allow me to virtually visualize these characters, almost like they're from an anime – which, incidentally, is set to release soon.
Consequently, I rate this novel 4 out of 5 stars. If the storyline I've encountered thus far were more captivating, it would have earned a perfect score. It's unusual for a book to leave such a strong impression on me, considering the countless novels I've read, and only about 10% of those have evoked this emotional response.
Upon updating my thoughts after reading further, I must say that the later translated chapters are enjoyable and filled with laughter. My only gripe remains the inconsistent chronological order of the side stories; the timeline can be confusing. Despite this, my overall rating stands at 4 out of 5.

The setting has potential. I must admit, I'm a fan of building kingdoms myself, so it appeals to me. However, there's a glaring issue – the narrative jumps abruptly from nothing to a fully-fledged fortress in just a few short days. The protagonist effortlessly defeats a group of armored dragons, seemingly with unlimited mana, making it all seem too convenient. In my opinion, kingdom-building stories are much more engaging when the main character faces gradual progress, overcoming challenges one step at a time. It would have been more realistic for the village transformation to take at least a year, creating a sense of accomplishment.
The other issue is the protagonist's young age – only eight years old. It will likely be a long wait to see him grow into adulthood, and if his current pace continues, he'd be ruling as an emperor before he's twelve. Frankly, I find it less appealing to read about a child navigating the complexities of kingship, especially marriage and romantic entanglements. It would be more compelling if the main character were older.
It seems the summary significantly misunderstands the plot. The initial impression might be of an abusive husband humiliating the protagonist and forcing her into a bedroom for mysterious reasons, followed by her tragic death and a cycle of angst in a reincarnated life. However, the reality is quite different.
The first half of the story focuses more on the murder mystery, where the victim, who happens to be the protagonist, takes on the role of the detective. The rewind aspect of the story is a captivating mystery,尽管有些部分令人沮丧，但这种情绪更多是叙事内的，主角也对这些挫折感到懊恼并有所表达。
Regarding the romance, there's a spoiler here: despite initial appearances as a socially awkward character misunderstood as an antagonist, the Duke turns out to be a genuinely good person. He initially succumbed to peer pressure to criticize her family but swiftly regained his moral compass, apologizing and defending their honor after she left.
In essence, the story offers a deeper exploration of redemption and unexpected growth in the romantic subplot, making for a more nuanced and engaging read.
I revisited "同光" a while ago, and I absolutely loved it! Although there were some miscommunications between the main characters, their affection for each other was evident. The plot wasn't overly complicated, and I enjoyed the engaging dynamic between the protagonists. Despite being categorized as science fiction, it incorporated fantasy elements, like the main character's golden eyes.
The story revolves around Alfred, who is the Spoiler (a term often used to indicate a character with a significant role or secret) Gong - the eldest prince, and another character named Shou, who also has an important revelation, which is that they are mpreg - meaning they are expecting babies. The babies in the story are adorable, adding a heartwarming touch to the narrative.

Throughout the novel, one persistent thought that crossed my mind was how utterly terrible the main character's (ML) behavior was, which left me laughing in a mix of disbelief and frustration. It's heartbreaking to see Jian Yu suffer, moving from an emotionally neglectful and toxic family to a gaslighting Gong. At least his mother-in-law seems to genuinely care for his well-being, making her a rare beacon of kindness amidst the chaos.
It's evident that Jian Yu has never experienced much love or support in his life. Naturally, when faced with an overwhelming affection from the ML, he was defenseless against their manipulative tactics. The supposedly cute and light-hearted romance turned into a chilling tale of deception and control, which left me feeling nauseous. I desperately wish for someone to rescue Jian Yu and protect him from the clutches of the ML – I beg for a happier ending for him.
