Enjoying the book so far!! ...
Bad storyline... first 3chapters and I'm done... can't waste my money on this. Be realistic!!!
I love this book
Really love the way you do detail every single character and all.At times while reading I feel like it happened in real time especially "His sweet bella",really loved that book
keep it up ...
This one is awesome! If you've read the author's previous works like *Grand Princess* and *Zhuo Yu* (Carven Jade), you'll definitely love this one.
The heroine is reborn, having already lived her life to its bitter end. In her first life, she married the second male lead and ran away from her fiancé. After dying and being reborn, she decides to marry the man she was originally supposed to marry in her first life. But then, a long story ensues...
Her husband dies, leaving only the youngest brother of the husband's family. Can you guess what happens next?
The original title of this novel is "The Eldest Wife is My Wife."
Our heroine is Chu Yu, and our hero is Wei Yun, both from military families. I really love all the supporting characters; some of them have amazing stories of their own. Chu Yu is so jaded, and I felt pity for Xiao Qi, but when they decide to give their relationship a try, it’s pure awesomeness. I really love Chu Yu. Wei Yun's confession is just so heartbreaking. As usual, MSB loves to torture all of her male characters (which is why I love reading this).
Give it a try!
I abandoned this after just a few chapters. The story has been engaging thus far, but the translation has two major issues that made it difficult for me to continue. The narrative style keeps fluctuating between first and third person perspectives, and even within the same chapter, it switches between present and past tense without consistency, which is highly distracting. Here are examples from the early chapters:
1. For Dalia, who had regained memories from her previous life, it wasn't an entirely surprising revelation. Moreover, since my mother passed away soon after my birth and my father was often occupied elsewhere, I didn't feel overly upset about it.
2. At only 13 years old, I knew my actions would inevitably go unnoticed or taken advantage of. In order to secure my future, I needed to remain in the mansion and save up. So, my strategy was clear – appear innocent around my brother and focus on long-term planning.
For now, she resolved to concentrate on Hikan and prepare for the morrow's funeral.
What do you mean??
4.5 stars
Though the novel starts off poorly, it gradually improves as it progresses. It's widely acknowledged that the first arc isn't particularly strong. The plot really picks up around chapter 50. If you want to skip the less appealing parts of the early chapters, I suggest reading the first six and then jumping straight to chapter 50. Here's a brief summary of significant events in between, based on my memory:
- When Ning Shu returns home on her first day, her family announces they'll disown her publicly and give her some money to buy an apartment. She starts worrying about her weakness compared to Ling Xue and decides to take martial arts classes.
- One day, she spots Ling Xue and follows her, witnessing her absorb a man's life force. Scared, Ning Shu hurries home, though Ling Xue doesn't discover her. Upon arrival, she finds the school doctor in her apartment, bleeding and holding a gun. She treats his wounds, but he醒了后要回了枪。
- Later, the school doctor gifts her a small gun. At Ling Xue's request, Ning Shu attends Leng Ao's birthday party, which leads to a tense confrontation where she ends up shooting Ling Xue. Ling Xue's energy barrier prevents her from moving, giving Ning Shu the chance to shoot her. Ling Xue escapes with her lover, who helps her regain her strength.
- The four characters eventually cross paths. Ling Xue's ML, the school doctor, and Ning Shu are armed, with the doctor holding a ticking bomb. Ning Shu persuades everyone to disarm, but the doctor detonates it. She and the doctor escape, but Ling Xue sustains injuries.
- Fearing Ling Xue, Ning Shu starts living at school (potentially earlier). Without her gun, she feels vulnerable and turns to the school doctor for help, receiving an address to a mysterious location. She discovers an underground shooting range and befriends its members to improve her defense skills. Initially, she struggles, but eventually manages to return to school, marking the approximate end of chapter 50.
The beginning of the story could have been more engaging if Ning Shu vocalized her criticisms of the original characters instead of just thinking them. Additionally, the afterstories of the alternate worlds don't follow immediately after each arc but come later. What I appreciate is that the novel doesn't focus solely on finding an ML, making it more about Ning Shu's反击 journey.
Any news when the next season comes out yet?
You should be more confident and make it a 100%.
