Think i'm gonna go read one again as a refresher....
I really want to like it. It has the necessary ingredients, but it falls flat because the chef doesn't know what to do with them.
There are so many words in every chapter, but nothing of importance is being said.
I read 16 chapters and I've found myself skimming through most of it, as it was mostly pointless nonsense.
And when there's suddenly something interesting going on, the POV suddenly switches to some random dude and his sister, or some random dudes drinking and talking about something. Don't know what, I just skipped past the whole thing.
I don't think I'll continue reading past the first 20 chapters, unfortunately. It's all a convoluted mess and nothing makes sense.
Driving the reader mad with gibberish is a great way for your readers to immerse themselves in your novel, but it's not for me.
This review is at chapter 80:So my gripes are similar to the others you see in the reciews, but I have a slightly different take. At chapter 25 or 26 the MCs intelligence for some reason takes a steep decline out of literally nowhere. From a veteran gamer who hoards loot just incase he can sell it, to an idiot who questions why his companion brings him an item he can sell, whilst he carries around a pack full of starter grade junk for that exact purpose. My issue isn't the stupidity, as I like character development, it's the reasoning. The author obviously knows the MC is acting stupid, as he had his companion call him out directly for it by having her tell him to pay attention when he is told something and to think for himself. I simply find myself questioning, who is the author trying to develop/write for in this situation? It makes the MC seem mentally disabled, makes the companion seem like she nonstop complains, annoys the reader, and makes the author look like they can't write a decent character. I've found myself letting it audible sighs while reading. All this being said, it's not enough to ruin the story for me, but I know it can for some which is why I explained so much. I see the potential and have heard it gets better soon, so I'll keep reading as most of the other stuff in the novel is quite good and leaves me wanting to see more.
i like it very much but its to long to update...waiting for it to finish
The most infuriating story I have read in a while. This the type of story you read just before commiting a mass murder with the world class level of burning anger this generates. You and your wall have been warned.
mehh....................................................................................................................................................
I think this story has a lot of potential. Key points to look out for:1) use of dialogue, think you could Make use of more dialogue. the entire story is written in Lincolns thoughts with sparse use of dialogue. 2) character development: The story is too focused on Physical development and has ignored much of lincolns mental development3) world sEtting: the entire transition to rocks Pirates, the worlD government, strength levels are not too clear Even with the auxiliary chapter4) Story pace: reading just the first few chapters, it Already the gives the feeling that the story will end in 10-15 chapters max. You want to make sure you have a modest goal in terms of how long this fanfic will be and pace yourself to achieve that goal
Looks interesting, can't wait to readAh~................ahhhhhhh~
Five stars engineer in a world with magic done right i like the writing and also the toasters im still reading so ill update if neces sary
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day has been ruined. Why tf they chose to translate this trash novel?...............................
A really enjoyable read! Hope it gets picked!I thought this was going to be another generic rehash of the genre, but I was pleasantly surprised that it actually leaned more towards the lifestyle aspect while still keeping some combat in it. It does a great job at making the side of gaming that isn't usually focused on interesting and entertaining, while also keeping it simple and easy to follow.
the novel is pretty good I like the fact that he is like going to fight weird ghost and supernatural stuff and this is based of me only reading the first chapter I hope you don't drop
