Wow, I went into this with low expectations, but it turned out to be an absolute gem!
This BL took me on an emotional rollercoaster, from the giddiness of watching the characters fall in love, to second-hand embarrassment, to the heart-wrenching trials they've faced. It's been a long time since a romance has made me want to kick my feet up and smile uncontrollably at the screen, but this novel did exactly that and more.
I devoured every chapter, and I think the pacing was perfect. While a part of me wishes there were more chapters, any additional content might have felt too drawn out. The main lead is such a positive presence, and I just wanted to wrap SY up in a giant fluffy blanket and shower him with all the good things in the world. I wasn’t expecting the depth of the darker themes explored in the book, but I appreciated seeing SY’s healing journey.
I absolutely loved this BL, and while others might find flaws, I don’t see any.
Can't wait for the side stories to be translated!!

I absolutely adore this novel. It's my first review, and after finishing the available chapters, I couldn't resist reading the rest as it captivated me so much. This stands out from typical historical romance stories featuring harem dynamics and power struggles. Although there's some face-slapping, the plotlines here are fresh and varied, preventing repetition. Each storyline has depth, which made me genuinely invested in their resolutions. The characters feel genuine, particularly the portrayal of the concubines and the MC's siblings - their relationships are a highlight. The romance is a pleasant addition,尽管男主角有些偏执。What I appreciate is that the main character's love interest's actions stem from his past experiences and his decision to be exclusive with the MC is grounded in his personal journey, rather than being forced by the narrative. The characters remain authentic throughout, making it a delightful read that tackles relatable challenges with well-rounded characters.

Read until the end and i can say that i did enjoy this novel even though it got kinda lazy at the end... BUT the one thing that i deeply haye is that 99,99% of his allies are women and most of the time they became allies because he saved them.
Fooled by the comments this is trash. At least in my eyes...honestly haven't gotten to deep into it I'm at chap like 20 it's unbearable
