when will we get the next chapter, I've just binge read this book last night and I really really enjoyed it.

Let me just say this upfront: Li Heng is one of the most interesting detectives I've encountered in recent fiction and I have STRONG opinions about her. The way she introduces herself is pure genius. She's standing outside a murder scene — actual skeletal remains discovered under a stove — and she's eating curry fish balls. She chats up Auntie Wang about discounted fish and Ultraman stamps like she's just a neighborhood girl, then drops a badge and becomes Chief Inspector of the West Kowloon Regional Crime Unit in the same breath. The switch is so sudden that even Auntie Wang can't process it. 'She played me!' the old woman mutters. And honestly? She did. But Li Heng played her the right way. What fascinates me is the contrast between her professional coldness and whatever's going on inside her head. She has these fragmented dreams — a golden place, a blanket that smells of sunlight, a mosaic glass globe spinning to a music box melody. It feels like a home she can never quite reach. And then she says, almost casually, that 'home' carries less weight for her than a case does. That line hit me like a truck. This woman is rootless. She was born in an orphanage and never really had anywhere to go back to. So she chases cases instead. Her relationship with her team is also fascinating. Old You, the senior officer who 'never does things by the book,' Meng Zai who's a bit slow on the uptake — they're all still figuring her out. She's been transferred less than a week and they're already walking on eggshells. But there's something underneath the strictness. She remembers the nursery rhyme. She notices the smallest details. She's not just efficient — she's genuinely good at this. I just need to know more about her. Who is this woman who turns a children's game into a eulogy for the dead?
