Put 5 stars so my comment stays at top. This book is literally never-ending and I feel is just becoming a cash grab. The same scenarios keep repeating themselves in different ways and the plot does not progress. We're at 589 chapters in and only NOW seem like we're POSSIBLY getting some progression.

My primary disappointment stems from the underdeveloped female leads, who receive insufficient screen time and often lack depth. The protagonists' rapid affection for the main character feels contrived, as there isn't much genuine character growth or distinct personalities. Characters like Rei, for instance, are barely present in the story, appearing only occasionally.
Additionally, the excessive explanation of magic and related concepts can be overwhelming, and the world-building can verge on absurdity. The main character's erratic behavior, including his obsession with Yuri, self-inflicted hits, and incessant shouting, adds to the unrealistic aspect.
While the basic premise and setting have potential, the story requires substantial refinement, particularly in fleshing out the characters and providing a more balanced narrative.
I cannot recommend this to anyone due to the numerous plot holes and an overabundance of Deus ex machina moments that mar the beginning. If you decide to give it a try, I suggest starting from chapter 6 to avoid the frustrating plot points that significantly disrupt the narrative, at least for my experience.
The story begins predictably with an annoying ghost grandparent who behaves unjustly, making the protagonist feel guilty for simply existing. This character creates numerous inconsistencies early on that led me to consider stopping:
1. You must bond with me, or you'll die, you lazy, disrespectful person.
2. As my chosen vessel, you must inhabit a different body if you refuse to bond – now's your chance to ogle handsome men, ha!
3. Despite being about to be executed by someone who clearly despises her, the plot suddenly shifts in one paragraph when the MC calls the ghost she hates, leading to an unexpected marriage proposal.
4. The forced romantic development continues as if the attempted execution never happened, which becomes harder to believe if you skip the initial six chapters and imagine your own opening.
In summary, there are significant issues with the plot that detract from the overall enjoyment, especially in the early chapters.
This is an incredibly captivating story and translation. The darker and intense moments align perfectly with the portrayal of the underworld, while there are also hilarious parts that had me laughing out loud. The development of the relationship between the main characters is gradual and based on mutual consent, which is commendable. I wholeheartedly endorse this!
The series appears to be a harem-themed teenage fantasy, but unfortunately, it fails to deliver as promised. Despite its high rating, I found myself extremely disappointed. The focus shifts away from the author's supposedly captivating novels, with excessive chapters devoted to sexual content and mundane daily life. The characters lack depth and the excessive number of girls, along with cringe-inducing elements, detract from the story.
Out of 117 chapters, only five were dedicated to the main plot, which initially held great potential. It seems the author abandoned the primary storyline to excessively describe his "dagger" obsession. As someone who enjoys exploring parallel worlds with adaptations of novels, manga, anime, and movies, I'm usually forgiving of such aspects. However, this particular work fell flat for me due to its lack of substance and poor execution.
Is this worth reading? It's top 30 that means this gotta be a decent novel but I ain't trusting those poison testers
