this man is irredeemable, idk what the authors plan is, she keeps trying to push them as end game but so many plot holes, like how is she constantly dying but not sick until the author remembers, why doesn't Derek tell her that Kyrien is hers? the man will do anything to hurt her but claims love?

I need to talk about the ring. I need to talk about it right now because this detail absolutely wrecked me. "After all these years, her singing has not improved at all." "Good thing she is an actress and not a singer. Otherwise, even ten of me would not be able to promote her or cover for her." He's teasing her. He's sitting there, hearing her voice through that diamond ring, and his first instinct is to make a joke about it. But then—then he says "It is not that unbearable" and the butler's gaze turns teasing. Gu Zhanran, the man who can't even admit he likes something without wrapping it in sarcasm, is basically confessing that he listens to her sing every day. The flashback to his childhood is what got me though. "Children are often lonely, simple, and easily bored. Gu Zhanran sincerely treated the 'little spirit' inside the ring as a new friend." A lonely boy talking to a recording of a girl's voice, pretending it was magic. And now years later, he's the one holding the literal key to her future. The symmetry is so clean it hurts. And An Juexiao! She changes his contact name from "Gu Ten Million" to "Gu Lucky Star." That's not just cute, that's her way of acknowledging without saying it out loud that he's been her lucky break. She's playful, she's sharp, she's not naive—but she's also clearly softening toward him. The scene where she sends him the wrong message and then panics about whether he'll think she was using him? That's genuine vulnerability from a character who otherwise never backs down. "Just those three simple words carried immense trust." Gu Zhanran: "I know." Three words. Three. Words. I'm not okay. This slow burn is everything. The way they orbit each other, the names they give each other, the things they don't say—it's all there, humming under the surface like that ring used to.
The story is a delightful piece of fluff. With an overpowered main character, it’s not meant to be taken too seriously and maintains a light-hearted tone throughout.
Wow, this really stirred up a range of emotions within me. The treatment her so-called family subjected her to left me furious, and reading about Irene's sufferings brought tears to my eyes. The novel effectively conveys a deep emotional spectrum, even for those without siblings, as we can empathize with the pain. The character development and dramatic confrontations have been engaging. I particularly appreciate how the female lead (FL) and male lead (ML), despite their differences, show understanding towards each other. I'm hopeful that they'll heal each other's wounds and grow stronger together. What sets this apart from typical stories is the refreshing portrayal of the ML, Noel. As an illegitimate child, he has faced societal rejection but has proven himself through perseverance. Initially, one might assume he'd be a cold and calculating CEO, but he turns out to be quite perceptive and empathetic, able to read situations and connect with others on a deeper level. So far, it's been quite an enjoyable read.
