when will they be best couple? theres always misunderstandings or will that also get better
Let me just say this, the Male Lead (ML) is just so lovable and spoils the Female Lead (FL). It's true they got off to a rough start, but to be completely honest, I like that because it's more realistic. It wasn't really a love-at-first-sight kind of thing; they met a few times before the ML really started to like her and protect her. (Don't get me wrong, it was still kind of fast, but not as fast as some other stories *coughs*.)
There's a scene in the later chapters where the ML gets super mad at the FL because she's protecting some other male, and that male makes a flirty joke in front of the ML, which really ticks him off. He confronts the FL, and because of her past, she asks him if he will hit her. Instead, the ML hugs her and says, "I said I'll protect you, even if it's from myself." Although he's a bit sad that she thought he would harm her, in her defense, it has to do with her past life.
The Female Lead (FL) is likable; she's very self-reliant and has a pretty reasonable personality. She can be a bit arrogant, but not in a bad way where you want to punch her. She has confidence but isn't so stubborn that she never listens to reason (except when it comes to the ML). She's also not petty, unlike the main character in some other stories. The side characters are very amusing; the ML's subordinates are freakishly hilarious. My two favorites are the king of gossip and the foodie.
It's true that the chapters are short, but the translator updates very frequently and does a great job, at least in my opinion, scoring a 4.0 in terms of translations.
, the story is good. The characters are entertaining, and the romance is definitely there. The relationship is pretty healthy, unlike in some other stories where the ML can get a bit much, bordering on abusive. You won't find that with the ML here; he would rather slit his own throat than lay a harmful hand on her.
The narrative isn't exceptional, but it's a decent tale that stands out among many popular adult novels, at least from my perspective. The protagonist has a remarkable personality, which is quite rare, and the pacing strikes a good balance between being neither too fast nor too slow, maintaining a pleasant reading experience. However, the translation quality deteriorated significantly after chapter 60, turning into almost robotic, which was highly disappointing. Despite my reluctance, I had no choice but to discontinue reading the novel.
Initially, the story seemed cute, with a decent beginning, but it fell into a familiar trope of a low-level actress facing adversity. The one-night-stand and pregnancy subplot was predictable too. While the young child's character was adorable and portrayed realistically, the overall plot lacked depth and originality.
The male lead was portrayed as cold, but his actions suggested he fell in love quickly without much foundation. Their interactions were limited to superficial scenes, and their conversations were sparse, almost counting on a few exchanges.
The protagonist's background was inadequately explored, making her feel disconnected and flat. As a musician with a generic skillset – often depicted as a piano and violin prodigy – her character was unconvincing, especially considering she could seemingly excel in acting immediately. It all felt clichéd and uninteresting.
From chapter 50 onwards, the story felt stagnant, with no significant progression in the plot. Skipping chapters didn't miss any crucial events, highlighting how many chapters were filler content. Ultimately, the book failed to engage me, and I've decided to drop it.
However, I must commend the translator for their efforts.
Yeah the translation is off. It has common MTL errors of using the wrong pronouns or poor grammar at times.
This one might be MTL'd and then edited a bit
Goof shit 20 days well spent story
Man, now you know how powerful the black tide is? When there were signs of the black tide was still mild you ignored it and let those people continue with their stupid rituals leading to the acceleration of the black tide. Now you know how to worry? You were so dismissive about it before, serves you right to suffer.
It's barely ok not gonna lie.
I read it till the end cause sometimes an ln can start meh and be better in the future (or it can start great and become really bad)
But this one was constant with a small increase of quality in the middle.
The ending was... anticlimatic ? Meh to the max ? Incredibly falling flat ?
I have read ln with rushed ending but this one just sliced the ln with a sword and that's kind of the problem with the whole ln :
It has some good ideas but it lack those finishing touchs to have somthing good... (it has other problems too.)
Hay I can you suggest some good, romance action novels?
If so please do.
Please I am bored and need something to read
This novel is nice! I hope more of the chapters got translated.
