HOW IS THIS NOVEL NOT MAKING WAVES ?!!!!It's amazing...
Okay so let me just say—Jiang Wan is the most heartbreaking character I've read in forever. Like, she's literally standing in the rain at the mansion door, password changed, no way in, and she's still more concerned about her brother than herself. That's not weakness, that's devotion so deep it hurts to watch. And Sheng Lianjue—oh my god. The man is a walking contradiction. He tells everyone he's married, keeps it secret, then when she shows up in the rain he walks out to get her but won't even look at her directly. He changes the password. He detains her brother. He's punishing her AND protecting her at the same time, and he can't even admit which one he's doing. The scene where he flashes open his eyes from that half-sleep and sees her curled by the door—his heart pounding like he's never felt panic before—that's the moment. That's the crack in the armor. He's been pretending this marriage doesn't matter, pretending she's invisible, but the second she actually leaves? He loses his damn mind. Then there's Jiang Lan, who thinks she's the main character but is literally just a prop in someone else's tragedy. She links arms with him at the banquet, wears red, smiles perfect—but the second he says 'I am married,' her whole world tilts. And that line when she watches him run into the rain after Jiang Wan? 'Her heart felt as if it had been stabbed.' She's not jealous of Jiang Wan's beauty, she's jealous of the fact that Sheng Lianjue actually CARES whether Jiang Wan lives or dies. The power dynamic here is everything. He holds all the cards—money, connections, her brother's freedom—but every time he plays them, he looks more trapped than her. Who's really the prisoner in this story?
I don't believe that i have to say anything except that it's a fun and great read, i had a smile the whole time.

First of all, I can confidently say that this is a story you won't regret reading. The writing quality improves after the chapters the author mentioned. The world is intriguing, and the events aren't rushed or overly complicated. When something happens, the author explains it in detail and consistently to avoid leaving any questions in our minds. Moreover, as you read, you can see that the author progresses in a planned, not random, manner. It's a great story, well done to the author!

Have loved reading from the viewpoint of the heir of one clan so far. Excited to get to see more! The characters are interesting, consistent, and relatable. Descriptions are vivid and compelling. Definitely reccomend it!
