Loved these characters and their story. Thought the pacing was good, dialogue was authentic, witty & fun. Lia was fantastic, as too, was Jason. Would've liked to learn more about their backstory & Jason's side biz, but I did enjoy that you focused on them. Thx for a truly enjoyable read!

There's a reason Mingtang wanted to visit the rooftop where she carved a confession years ago, and there's a reason a body fell from that exact spot. The author is weaving symbols here like a spider and I'm picking apart every thread. The rooftop confession—carved into a wall, hidden, permanent but invisible to most—is about feelings that were expressed in secret and never acknowledged. Qi Sheng falling from that same rooftop could symbolize the collapse of something that was built on hidden truths. And then there's the marriage itself—another kind of hidden confession, another arrangement where feelings are carved into walls but never spoken aloud. Wen Qingli's secret crush, Lu Zheng's carefully controlled emotions, the agreement to pretend—they're all living in this world of unspoken things. The body on the ground, 'swollen and disfigured beyond recognition,' is almost a perversion of the rooftop confession. Someone poured their feelings into that wall, and now someone's blood is pouring from it. The imagery of falling, of things crashing down from heights, of bodies twisted at unnatural angles—it's all connected to the emotional falls happening between the main characters. Wen Qingli falls for Lu Zheng. Lu Zheng falls for Wen Qingli. And now literally someone falls from a rooftop. The author is saying that secrets have weight, and eventually everything crashes down. Dr. He's words—'rule out unassisted suicide'—add another layer. This wasn't a fall born of despair. It was murder. Someone pushed. And in a story about hidden feelings and forced distances, the idea of someone being pushed feels deeply symbolic. Who pushed Qi Sheng? And what secrets did he carry that made him a target?
And also Ayo is such a mad man
I loved the chapter Meeting in hell lol, Samantha attracted to Aaron and same time She is pulling herself to him. Their first kiss was good.
