If you're in need of a kingdom-building novel and don't mind MTL, I highly recommend "我在法兰西当王太子" (I am the Dauphin of France). Similar to "Holy Roman Empire," but much better overall.
So if you’ve read the novel, do you think it’s good?
I finished this novel, a few months ago ? I forgot. And currently reading one of the author's another work called MY DESCENDANT BEGGED ME TO HELP HIM JUST AFTER I BECAME A GOD. What a long sh*t lmao. Check it out if you're bored. Also i would like to ask what chapter to read after the manhua ? I want to reread this again
Not translated till there on this site.
Another site with MTL has crossed that chapter, but the chapter numbers are inconsistent between the sites, so beware.
I feel that it had super good pacing the first 300 chapters and then we got less romance, the political stuff isnt even that exciting anymore cuz Yeweng Tong is an OP character, idk its just my humble opinion, but I dropped it at ch420.
The story is really amazing!! A must read
Some update please
There are sections that feel excessively drawn out, while others rush through their content. Moreover, I didn't particularly enjoy the main character's (ML) portrayal; they come across as too hypocritical for my taste. Despite the intriguing plot, which features a zombie or fantasy setting, my continued reading has been solely due to boredom and the scarcity of appealing alternatives. However, the main character and the love interest are simply unlikable to me.
I recently finished this novel, and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, particularly if you're open to angsty stories with heartwarming conclusions. Initially, the toxic phase between the main characters might be challenging to read, but there are subtle hints of the male lead's growing affection, which keeps you hopeful for a sweeter future. The story is engaging, almost binge-worthy, as you anticipate the cute moments.
I'm glad I persevered, as the novel truly shines during the redemption arcs, which take up more than half of the book. The author takes the time to develop the male lead's character arc authentically, showing genuine growth and effort to win the love of the protagonist. This part of the story is what earned it all the stars I'm giving – the redemption process is both satisfying and well-executed. The author's focus on the MC's happiness and the male lead's sincere repentance was particularly touching.
Character development isn't limited to just the male lead; the female protagonist also undergoes significant growth. While some reviews criticize her, the novel provides context for her character traits, revealing a backstory that explains her actions. The supporting relationships are woven beautifully, adding entertainment to the story.
There's even a manga adaptation available, with slight modifications for a wider audience, and the artwork is stunning. I'm surprised to see reviews from those who haven't completed the novel, as their opinions might not accurately represent the story. If they had finished it, I believe their ratings would be higher.
Some reviews contain misinformation, like claiming the childhood friend was solely supportive or suggesting the MC's happiness依赖ed on him. Actually, the MC had a fulfilling ending with the male lead. Also, the idea that the pregnancy was used as leverage is incorrect; it was a genuine expression of love, not a manipulative tool.
In summary, this novel offers an engaging, well-developed story with a satisfying redemption arc and heartfelt moments. Give it a chance, and I believe you'll enjoy it.
Read Vainquer the Dragon and The Perfect Run, written by the same author. Best novels i have read lately
ya abdul u have fallen prey to haram then i guess
Oh, so they are f*ck buddies, huh? Well I guess this fine, maybe? Its kinda weird for his adoptive father to share his wife but I am in no position to say anything about it after reading too many *nc*st. Maybe I am late to ask this but does it have a good plot (normal one)?
