nooms
Yes. U should give it a shot. I recommend this. Actually this is part of love-hate series with different stories.
That’s what shonen Al (which is in the main tags) means. This website has no “bl tag”, it has Yaoi, and shonen Al. To my knowledge, the difference is that shonen Al is generally tamer than yaoi (small correction, it specifically means that it’s less focused on s*x and more on romance, not just directly more tame. Also, boys love is the literal translation of Shonen Ai. Not sure I made that clear).
Understandable you didn’t know honestly. Bl would probably be better, but it is what it is. I didn’t know about shonen Al for a long time and I read bl stuff fairly regularly.
Pure doodoo
It was satisfactory. The translator does a commendable job and releases chapters promptly. However, I felt the ending was rushed, leaving many loose ends. The story serves as an enjoyable time filler, though. The main character's childlike mindset can make interactions feel somewhat like a parent-child dynamic, which becomes slightly uncomfortable during intimate scenes.
I empathize with the Shen family. The biological daughter, being a transplant, seems to have little concern for them, which is understandable given her strong attachment to her brother. The adopted daughter, unfortunately, appears ungrateful. It's truly a pity for their situation. tut tut.
I am genuinely impressed with the exceptional quality of this novel. Initially, one might expect a typical fantasy tale with a harem or a hero battling a demon king, but the narrative takes a surprising dramatic turn. The characters are expertly crafted, each with their own unique personalities and relatable struggles that tug at the heartstrings. While there are moments of comedy, the primary focus is on the emotional rollercoaster the characters endure.
The plot development stands out, defying conventional expectations. This 'hero x demon king' story takes a fresh and unpredictable approach, leaving readers constantly guessing what comes next. The author skillfully weaves in numerous mysteries, consistently surprising with unexpected twists that keep the reader hooked.
The drama is deeply moving, with scenes that evoke strong emotions for the characters. The protagonist's internal conflicts, including the pain of deceiving loved ones and the burden of carrying his guilt alone, resonate profoundly. There's a particular incident, which I'll call the "second bad ending," that left me utterly shaken, staying up until late hours just to continue reading.
However, perfection is elusive. One area of critique is the handling of magic within the story. As a fantasy setting, the presence of magic is expected, but it feels overused as a convenient tool to resolve any issue, rather than being grounded in a believable context. This inconsistency in the portrayal of magic as a god-like force when convenient versus absent when not serves as a minor annoyance.
In summary, the novel is a captivating blend of drama and unpredictability, with powerful character development. Despite a minor flaw with the magic element, the overall experience is highly engaging and emotionally resonant.
Impressive narrative that delves into the raw human spirit in "Picking Up Beauty post-Apocalypse." The author masterfully weaves a gripping tale of survival and unexpected connections amidst dystopian chaos. The protagonist's resilience and the exploration of morality in a harsh world keep the reader hooked. A captivating read that challenges both imagination and emotions, leaving one pondering the power of kindness in adversity.

Left 4 Dead?
Wow both mother and daughter are thick skin, that Lin family?
I really hope that Parker doesn't become Qingqing's husband in her world in the end. Her husband should be Curtis, Winston or Muir.
