Author needs help. When has incest become acceptable?
'Let me tell you why.' — three words and then the entire chapter unravels. Zhao Daxiong's speech to Zhao Xiaoyu is one of the most satisfying dialogue sequences I've read. Every character has a distinct voice, and this scene proves it. Zhao Xiaoyu sounds exactly like a spoiled, desperate girl — all 'Dad, do you look down on me?' and 'You're suppressing my brilliance!' She's loud, reactive, and completely blind to reality. Then Zhao Daxiong? Cold, precise, almost clinical. He doesn't raise his voice. He lists facts like a prosecutor: first time she used connections, second time, third time. Each one more damning than the last. And the best part — his voice shifts when he's talking to Chen Zhou's playmate versus when he's alone with Zhao Xiaoyu. With the boy, he's distant, almost dismissive. With his daughter, there's this undercurrent of genuine disappointment mixed with fear. 'If it weren't for the Zhao family's connections covering for you, you'd probably be on an experimental table in China by now!' — that line hit me like a truck. The author's dialogue isn't just functional; it reveals power dynamics, history, and emotion in a single exchange. I re-read that entire confrontation three times.
brilliant book had me crying a few times
It took me a while to read this book but I really, really enjoy it soooo much. I hav6 told my sister and friends about it. They are curious about it and want to read it also. Thank you and keep up the good work.

I loved this book. I have even re-read it. Very small amount of grammar errors. But the story was captivating from the get go.
