I shall say this neutrally reading as this novel is still fresh yet it’s my cup of tea for subversion or exploration of topics such as anti-ntr…Which I respect not to spoil yet quite frankly fascinated
I’m assuming you read the version on Wattpad and you are just putting it on this platform.
Really good, I look forward to the continuation! He falls into my library without hesitation140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140...140.
I am shamelessly leaving this review as review #10 to get my rating. So far, I'm trying to maintain 2 chapters a day, so I sure hope you like hot milfs ??
Overall, a novel with good ideas but poor character design. After being framed and sentenced to death for murder, the MC- a violent gang boss- traveled to a parallel world to become part of a police investigation team. He is randomly tied to a system, but when catching criminals, he relies on forced plot development (instead of using brains). I do not like the MC's personality (brash and rude like a gangster); in fact, the original police officer (whose body MC transmigrated into) seemed to have a much better personality compared to MC. I was looking forward to this since we don't have good Chinese detective webnovels (most are Japanese like "Shinrei Tantei Yakumo"), but I was disappointed (my rating was already +1 for having the game system, but character development turned out to be too poor).
You should read this one. I don't give a lot of reviews but if you miss out on this then it's your loss. It's a fun read. It's just fun. There's nothing annoying in it. It's a ghost calmly trying to figure out his place in the new world he's suddenly dropped into.
It has no bulls**t romance interfering with the plot! Or those goddamed damsels in distress. The characters feels alive and realistic. One of the best novel, I've read!!! It ruin all other gaming novels for me, since I'm F**king sure, none will measure up to this one!!!
First thing first: the grammar is amazing and I can enjoy the story without wondering what the author wanted to say. It's a story of a guy who starts as trash and climbs up. Fight scenes are very good.
This is actually a really good story, and I have enjoyed it so far. The story is fun and pretty well written. But it’s called Summoner System and the MC hasn’t summoned anything. it’s a monster tamer system. It’s like calling Ash from Pokémon a summoner. Just kind of disappointing.
I love mafia
seriously got me hooked from the first chapter! I need more updates
Okay so let's talk about Lu Zhengting because this man is a whole mood and I am HERE for it. You know how some male leads are all grand gestures and dramatic confessions? Not this guy. He's the type who gets flustered because the heroine just happened to compliment his face while demonstrating first aid on his arm. That's it. That's the peak of his emotional arc in this entire chapter. He literally can't even—he just mutters something about needing to go to a meeting and wheels away like his life depends on it. And I love that the narrative doesn't make him some cold, unfeeling ice prince. He's clearly affected by her. The text literally says his sense of smell is heightened by her proximity, his body goes tense, he instinctively leans back to create distance. This is a man fighting a losing battle against his own reactions and he's trying so hard to maintain composure. Meanwhile Lin Wan is just over there completely oblivious, thinking he's weird for being embarrassed. The dramatic irony is delicious. Then there's Lu Zhengxia, the so-called rival, who is absolutely seething the entire time. She's all fake smiles and contemptuous glances, calling Lin Wan a shameless woman abandoned by her man. Like... girl, you're the one making shoes for Doctor Jin and clinging to him. The audacity. But what's interesting is that she genuinely believes she has the advantage because of her family connections. She doesn't understand that competence actually matters, that Doctor Jin is an upright man who values skill over politics. Her arrogance is her blind spot and I cannot wait to see her face when the results come out. The sibling dynamic between Lu Zhengting and Lu Zhengxia is also worth noting—he clearly protects Lin Wan without making a huge deal out of it, while she's actively trying to undermine her. Classic found family versus blood family energy, and I'm team found family every time.
