This novel shows more and more eldritch elements by the day. It honestly reminds me of LoTM with Seo Hweol being an absolute menace like Amon and all the secrets and outer gods. At this point I don't think this is still a cultivation novel.

What a pity
It’s your standard good ‘ol cultivation novel. Can’t beat the classic recipe. Took me about 40-50 chapters for me to get invested.
The story doesn't really start to wake up until around chapter 30 or so. The writing does get a better, but it still has some of the classic translator teething issues that these big stories often have.
One of the best cultivation novels out there.
Author has solved alot of problems when going into higher cultivation, such as accumulating to much abilities and/or weapons which the protagonist seemingly forgets about 100 chapters after. . lol.
Characters matter and has story behind them, they keep reappearing in the story in a way that is cohesive and makes sense. If new characters, which are tied heavily to Li Qingshan, are introduced, they are not simply thrown out of the window.
World building is excellent, the author makes the world breathe and its genuinely enjoyable.
Author does a great job at keeping Li Qingshan and . . . true to their convictions and goals, which develops naturally through their experiences and major events in the story.
The story is very slow at the start but trust me, it is a SOLID anchor for the future development to the characters, the world, everything.
Read it, you will not be disappointed.

Pretty lame. First few ch and I can see this won't be good memories of her past life family wiped and she doesn't feel like a strong female mc
She felt like it, kind of. I sort of topped reading before it she properly explained. He started fighting God's and the story became bad. His abilities just did whatever the plot needed or they wouldn't work cause the plot needed them not to and so on.
Read 1300 chapters before dropping.A fairly solid read. Without spoiling anything, These will be what you need to know:
* Main charcter stays cold, calculated and wary of strangers through and through.
*Other than some girls crushing on MC, almost no romance.
* Action is present towards the end of the arcs lightly but action is not the key of any arc. The story and plot twists are what make this novel a gem, if it is one at all.
* The author does not have the habit of building the worlds in detail. He puts them into dialogues and you will miss a lot of the story of you don't attention and skim over.
* There are fairly good plot twists in every arc, but almost all the villains are one dimensional dumbasses who go into c*cky monologues thinking they are the sh*t before dying.
* Don't expect jumping from game world to reality and vice versa like other novels. Reality is inconsequential.
I dropped because it's like watching Fairy tail. Same story formula applied over every arc.

The concept is outstanding, and the translation is swift. Similar to the author's previous works, it leans towards a tragic narrative without losing its humanity. I'm currently at the beginning and eagerly anticipate whether this nascent story will unfold as a cunning shrub or a majestic birch tree.
This is unexpectedly delightful; it's an effortless and enjoyable read. The translator has done a commendable job, and I found myself more captivated than I initially anticipated.
