"The adventure of Little Kitty and her sword is fantastic. It’s all good with a solid 5-star rating right up until the end of the arena competition (around chapter 200). After that, it starts to go downhill, becoming somewhat dull and lacking in excitement. The antagonist feels lackluster, and our beloved kitty turns into a battle-obsessed robot. The story takes on a cheap feel. However, I still highly recommend reading it at least until the arena competition ends. Judge it for yourself after that :)"
The concept is fantastic, but the execution of the MC's internal world is satisfactory. What irks me are the unnecessary and shallow introductions of characters, often reduced to their city and trivial details, solely to propel them to prominence or set up subsequent introductions. I've skipped numerous chapters without missing any crucial plot points, because the author inevitably rehashes these characters later. Introducing numerous figures for one-liners makes them easy to forget, which detracts from the overall reading experience.
It's quite frustrating and exasperating to read. Coming from a comfortably well-off family, albeit not of the same caliber as the main characters', I can't stand constant surveillance and being told what to do. Every time I deviate from their expectations, I receive a lecture – even after 30 chapters, this pattern persists. The story loses its humor, disregards logic, and simply becomes painful to endure.
To be honest, I empathize with the male lead. Imagine living in a capitalist society like the United States for most of your life, then suddenly being thrown into a completely different environment and field. It's unrealistic to expect them to excel immediately. The author seems to balance the FL's kindness, intelligence, and innocence by contrasting her with the ML. But what's going on with this female character? How can she make logical deductions in solving cases when the ML, a graduate from a top American university, struggles? Where has his intelligence gone? It feels like the author switches off both his IQ and EQ when interacting with the ML, especially when he's trying to solve problems (not in a cute or flattering way).
Initially, I was excited due to the positive reviews, but this is a poorly researched, riddled-with-plotholes Chinese novel. I'm being generous by giving it a rating of 2.
If he is a good villain but I don't know why I dislike him, it's because they always show him at the best moment

Despite the many flaws of this novel; the constant xenophobia, the racism and the *nc*st this still managed to be one of the better written novels on the site, IF you manage to look past it. To a fellow reader looking to pick this up I would absolutely recommend it if you want a kingdom building power fantasy novel. If thats not your cup of tea and you think this will change your opinion... it probably wont... it might even make it worse.Also ignoring the morality the relationships are very well written so props to the author for that.
