I love this story! It is fast-paced and engaging. The love scenes are steamy and could even afford to get steamier but I felt that they were written quite tastefully. I definitely feel a true menage a trois is more fun than a reverse harem :D

The atmosphere in these chapters is genuinely cinematic. Let me just say that. The subway tunnel scenes are dripping with mood—dim lighting, the echo of footsteps on tracks, the sharp whoosh of stones cutting through air. There's a specific moment where Lu Qing watches the last Baron scream toward an exit that leads to a bar, and you can practically see the fluorescent lights flickering ahead like a false promise of salvation. The author really understands how to use confined, dark spaces to amplify dread. And then there's the worldbuilding detail about vampire hibernation in coffins. It's such a small thing—just a paragraph about how it's a genetic tradition passed down from ancestors who first rested in coffins—but it adds this entire layer of vampire culture that feels lived-in. These aren't just monsters; they're creatures with customs, with history, with weird little habits like sleeping in boxes because their great-great-grandparents did it. The contrast between the grimy underground hunting grounds and the warm, threatened orphanage is doing a lot of emotional work too. One is cold, industrial, shadowy. The other is presumably soft and human. The world feels real because it has texture in both directions.
This story touched my heart. Being plus size girl I can feel rosie emotions.
