I really enjoy it! There aren't any dull moments, although it did take me a considerable amount of time to read through all the chapters. The main character (MC) is alright, but rather ordinary, to be honest. The male lead (ML) bears a striking resemblance to Sung Hyunjae from "The S-Classes That I Raised." They're both tall, blond, and have a knack for flirting. By the way, this story is definitely a slow burn – it's incredibly slow-paced. I'm already on chapter 167, and the most intimate scene so far has been the ML tying the MC's belt and carrying them like a princess. It's quite amusing.

Despite an intriguing backdrop with vivid descriptions of yokai (supernatural beings), a history of humans triumphing over them, and a hierarchical society composed of select exorcist bloodlines capable of defeating these creatures, the central theme is classism. People are divided into distinct classes, with the elite being descendants of the most powerful exorcists. However, this privilege comes at a cost, as they face formidable adversaries who manipulate and mentally exhaust them, often leading to mental instability among exorcists.
Our protagonist, ill-equipped for this world, possesses a heroic nature but lacks power. This disparity between his personality and abilities lands him in numerous predicaments, despite his best intentions. Surprisingly, this attracts a fanbase of girls,多数是 powerful exorcists, who themselves are either emotionally unstable or monstrous yokai. Consequently, he finds himself surrounded by a "yandere" harem, admiring his selfless heroism.
While I appreciate the harem concept and the captivating setting, the lack of character development frustrates me. The protagonist remains consistently vulnerable, unable to overcome the overwhelming strength of the world, even with his protectors. Despite occasional power-ups and unique abilities, he endures constant physical and emotional torment with minimal respite. His heroines blindly adore him, enabling his every action without offering meaningful assistance, unless he gains strength they can't provide.
The narrative feels stagnant, as if progress is contingent upon the hero's growth, which seems unlikely given the current trajectory. The overall tone remains bleak, the hero weak, and the heroines fixated on their obsession. As a reader, it becomes a laborious experience, with no real hope for change until the protagonist improves, an unrealistic expectation in this story's current state.
I genuinely adore this novel. It starts off at a leisurely pace, gradually introducing us to the protagonist, Yu Tang, and her family dynamics. Since she's an only child with doting parents, there's no internal family drama. However, her sheltered upbringing makes her vulnerable to manipulations later in life.重生后，她学会了变得更聪明、坚定，懂得为自己发声。我喜欢她并非无所不能，虽然她凭借前世的记忆有时能预知一些事情，但仍会面临意外和犯错，这让人感觉更真实。男主角也是我的菜，他内敛而深情，有点傲娇的反差萌，两人之间的互动充满趣味。他们的爱情发展得很自然，与情节相得益彰。阅读这部小说需要慢慢品味，值得一试哦！（更新：读完后）我花了挺长时间才读完，因为我想细细品味，而不是一气呵成。读完后，我深有感触地体会到那句老话：“我嫁给了我的好朋友。”Yutang和男主角的感情确实经历了漫长的过程，从陌生人到讨厌，再到容忍，成为朋友，最后是彼此依赖和深爱。他们的感情展现了爱情的各种面貌，最终学会了接受并全心信任对方，无论发生什么。一生一世一双人，两颗心永远相守。我一定会再读英文版来回味这个甜蜜而动人的故事，配角们的插科打诨也让我捧腹大笑。
its basically just a worse version of 'Chronicles of the Heavenly Demon' in my opinion. neither are top tier novels, but some find the murim concept fun to read. this novel just doesn't feel right. the time travel concept is jumpy and weird. the mc has too many second hand embarrassment moments. the writing is okay but very messy, its better than MTL but it just doesn't flow like a normal English novel would. the side characters are one dimensional; you don't see their personalities at all. i got to ch 150 or so, i just couldnt justify reading anymore, it had been like 50 chapters since i got bored and it wasn't getting any better. it would have been better if they removed the cringe/terrible time travel/and focused on characters rather than their gamer stat screens nonstop.
I mean the fact that ss has been rank 1 for so long is the biggest proof. Even if people enjoy it, its quality is at most top 5 imho. I think if the upload frequency ever drops itll fizzle out like ri and lotm has. So like top 10

I made it to chapter 427 and I just can't do it anymore. Every problem in this story can be solved with the characters saying 3 little words, but everyone constantly carries the *d**t ball and is incapable of actually talking about their feelings so we get tons of pointless drama and nonsense. F*ck this story.
This book is dragging on forever. Please finish it already. It's like the plot seems to repeat itself.
