love this kind of story... the idea of the story is good, like never before. i hope i can read more of this story. so author or translator or whatever it is, please bring more update so we all can enjoy the great story before sleep...
I recommend that you dont read this, unless you are a masochist, and can endure the pure cringe that happens through out the novel. Its characters are meh. And the story is meh. Its how these two intertwine that makes this annoying to read.
This is a pretty nice novel. The story is decently captivating and it really shows thought on parts of it. However, the one part that was underwhelming would be the fact that this was less system and more divine knowledge. The system can be entirely taken out and be replaced by something along the lines of sealed memories of a past life. All in all, this is definitely not a system novel regardless of how enticing the novel may be.
Rawi like this Harem novel
Author i read until the end of the sorrows of our era (chpt 370)...i really enjoy overall this book but WHY....WHY do you have to push the story by making the stupid...in earlier chapters he was thinking before he did **** he had a thought process...and now he loses it at the most critical moment for no reason...he ignores all signs of danger he doesnt use the s****w for battle but his own body ...i dont understand why do you rush things Ren's purpose was to get stronger so he can protect his brother when did all that gone to ****? He doesnt even try to power up the last 50chapters...you can write a great story...step back and LET THE CHARACTERS BREATHE!!!
Do you know how a lot of people complain about OP characters not having any substance? this is NOT that! the plot is SO THICC. the characters are memorable and feel alive. The Mc has common sense and doesn't ever NOT do something the for BS plot reasons (You know when a characters has an ability that would solve gis problems but doesn't use it because the plot needs him to struggle or whatever? none of that) also 190 chapters in and a ship had finally sailed all and all 9½/10
This novel its actually very good! The author put a lot of work in every detail the story is progressing very well and its very fun to read, although it as few chapters now with the release rating that it was soon it will chamge. All in all, read it its very fun, very well written and the plot is cleary was thought about!
Hi everyone,new update coming tomorrow
Let me just say — this author knows how to pace a chapter and I am HERE for it. Chapter 14 opens with Xi Yu's backstory, which could have been an info-dump, but instead it's delivered through a conversation with The Old Master that feels organic. We learn about his mother leaving, his father never wanting him, the servants' whispers, the grandfather's own emotional limitations. It's woven into the present moment rather than dumped on us. The pacing here is deliberate — short paragraphs, sparse dialogue, lots of silence and internal processing. Xi Yu drinking whiskey alone while his phone stays face-down and silent? That's pacing through action, not exposition. Then Chapter 15 pivots hard to Wen Yining's POV and the hotel scene. The transition is jarring in the best way — we go from quiet introspection to chaotic media frenzy. The author uses short, punchy sentences during the paparazzi scene ("Click. Click, click.") which mimics the rapid-fire nature of the moment. Then Han Yan appears and the pace slows again, giving us breathing room before the next wave of tension. The arrival at the Xi mansion and the conversation with The Old Master is where the pacing really shines. Every beat is measured — the teacup being picked up and set down, the cane tapping, the pauses between dialogue. The author controls the rhythm like a conductor. And that ending question — "would you be willing to marry my grandson?" — is a perfect cliffhanger. Not a cheap one, but one that makes you immediately want to turn the page. The structure moves from isolation (Xi Yu alone) to chaos (Wen Yining surrounded) to confrontation (the meeting with The Old Master). Each section escalates the emotional stakes while giving the reader space to process.
I love this story! So captivating! Plus the Beta has my ñame...
Loooooooove!!!!
