I really love how this isn't another one of those instant harem ones where the MC is just flooded by chicks, it's a nice break from all the real big novels on here, and I'm honestly surprised you haven't struck gold yet. Good luck t you and know that I'll still be reading!
Broooo FINISH TALES OF DEMONS AND GODS FIRST don't just leave it there like that............................................................................................................. PRETTY PLEASE
EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOOOD,THE WORLD BACKGROUND, CHARACTERS, PLOT AND PACING EVERYTHING ALL WAS SO PERFECT DEFINITELY A MUST READ!!LOVED IT AUTHOR!!
Overall your system story is very solid. Capable MC, no plot holes, overall grammar quality was fine too in terms of comprehending the story. You already have some experience as a writer so I won't nitpick the small details. I still recommend polishing the earlier chapters, especially parts with the run-ons since it's still a slight turn off for experienced readers. The early chapters are what hooks readers in, and you don't want to wait till your later chapters where quality drastically increases. Now to the crux of the stuff I feel like you could work on. Nothing major, but these are suggestions to think of. In MC's previous life, where he has his monologue in regards to his family begging him for money and whatnot. I'm not sure if you'd ever elaborate on his previous life further, but I personally felt a bit diappointed we weren't able to be much more of MC's personality. For example, Jobless Reincarnation features a similar start in terms of a NEET, but we get to see more on how he is ostracized by his peers and whatnot, giving us sympathy for the character and can relate to the the MC's trauma, hence a higher connection to said character. Comparing this to Jiang Ming, I just feel that his character is almost too perfect when he reincarnates. Nothing from his old life really influences him or anything, and he just seems to be all out op (and he does deserve to be so being in a game in which he's the number 1 player), with no real setbacks. Everything just seems to go his way no matter what to his benefit, and although this can be enjoyable to read for a new reader, in the long run it would become stale. I hope in the future chapters there will be stuff that has real stakes; real penalties for when he fails and they have to be situations where he isn't confident in himself to succeed. This way, not only will his character be more human-like and relatable, it'll also path away from the Gary Stu route.Another thing I wish to sort of point out is his relationship with his aunt. I understand how the relationship develops, but in a way it also feels too synthetic in how quickly she's willing to be in a relationship with her nephew. Perhaps it progresses too quickly for my tastes, and I know that this appeals to a percentage of readers, so this is slightly nitpicky. Overall, in terms of dialogue and interaction, I feel there is no issue. It's just specifically on this relationship that suddenly seems like both characters are ok with it, even though it's written in a fairly conservative setting. From mother to aunt to lover, the progression just feels so fast. Not only that, I haven't understood Kong Ming and his aunt's relationship clearly. This is more or less a suggestion and my thoughts. I like the system established, as it is very progressive and makes sense to follow along. Introducing it later was a good twist. Dialogue and Chinese traits felt authentic enough, and your formatting has been easy to read and follow. Physical descriptions were present for most characters (although it focused to the women mostly), so I would've liked to see some of the unimportant/throwaway side characters have some more descriptions too in order to paint a more vivid image. Adding some personality to them would also bring the quality up a notch, showing that they're not just the stereotypical trope and are driven by other hidden motivations. Nevertheless, I hope you are able to write a compelling villain for the main character to overcome. Tldr, your weaknesses mostly lie in small mistakes from your early chapters, and I wouldn't recommend ignoring them as experienced readers might find them off putting. Your book is a solid cultivation system novel overall, but there are definitely parts you can polish and revise to make it shine more. Be wary of some areas that might seem like possible plotholes, or having the character being too "perfect" that it starts becoming unrealistic.
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
This is cool and all but isn't this just Sexcapades of a burly monk or smth. Unless devil was the original author? .........................................
I love almost all novels but I can see something special so I can say that this is quite goodI love the chapter where he gets the panda and it is quite shocking
After chapter 358, I realized that the story started to copying The Most Generous Master ever. Like divine bone, give marrow changing pills, a princess as discipe, gift sword with similar name. I figure the copy the story after making Mc losing all items and basically have start over so he can use the other author story while added a few sentences to connect Mc to time when he was in a lower realm.
[Translation Quality]4/5a. First thing, MTL vs TL. Even though I am not a Chinese speaker, i have consulted with someone who is (credits to Weirdo) and the latest chapter indicates a proper translation by Chinese speakers and not a machine translation. The TL is coherent enough albeit he didn't like how the "Demonic Sound Clan" was TL-ed among a few trivialities. So whatever the past teams did or whatever the past staff of this translation brand did, the current staff are not MTL-ing. I would suggest to the new staff to make TL notes on character names, faction names, chinese characters and their explanations on why they were translated that way and other possible translations, and indent that stuff at the end of chapters as it would showcase that they actually think about this and give the users some peace over how they treat this work in terms of translation.b. Naming Standardization. I haven't re-read the whole novel, so i don't know what the current state of the past chapters is. Naming standardization was not bad. The only thing i could complain about in the past was that the editors couldn't agree upon the name writing styles (combined or separated). Examples (each line is one character's name):- YaJi / Ya Ji- Cao Zhilan / Cao Zhi Lan - He Qingman / He Qing ManI don't know how things are now, so take this as a grain of salt, or the staff can take it as a suggestion to edit if they missed some character names so users can find it easier to google search characters to brush up on their past appearances and involved events. A poll on whether separated or combined are more memorable or not would be good, as user input is important and a poll can be indented at the end of a chapter like TL notes. I suggest the staff use polls from time to time since user-staff interaction is bad on this site, or at least indent a Discord channel or some chat channel or something where the staff can be reached instead of e-mail, as it is more interactive in regards to user feedback on grammar and spelling and other. c. Grammar was sometimes great and sometimes horrible in the past. Again, i don't know how things changed in this regard now when it comes to past chapters. The new chapters were very readable with a few spelling or grammar mistakes. After copy-pasting Chapter 299 into notepad++, i instantly found about 4 or 5 legitimate spelling mistakes by scrolling through it and observing what words were underlined, with 2 or 3 false positives, and it took me 30 or so seconds to do this.[World]The world is rich and vast, with cultivation and laws sculpting some places geographically and climatically. I would suggest to the users to write a glossary of places and factions and their descriptions as they may need it.==========================SOME SPOILERS BELOW===========================[Cultivation & Martial Arts]This novel has an inheritance system for cultivation. Interesting concept which becomes less and less relevant the more the story advances because the MC becomes part of a cultivation world where everyone has powers. I wish the author focused a bit more on this, but i guess it's too early for me to say anything. I would suggest to the readers to especially write the skills and descriptions of the powers that the MC gains through the story, because it will immensely help with visualizing the battles and understanding what is going on. The author didn't make it memory-friendly. The battles themselves are damn fun in my opinion though. [Story & Characters]The MC is an anti-hero. He's not as evil as Warlock of the Magus World MC, but also not nice either. If you want a novel with someone who has a moral superiority complex and a boner for justice and ethics and all that boring jazz, seek another work. The MC is selfish and cares mostly about survival and adventurism. His personality of an adrenaline junkie passed on into the new world, with his wisdom and intelligence rising as he goes through the story and has new experiences, but his soul remaining the same. You can regard him as a vagabond who only stays in places if they provide power. He is not a hypocrite and admits on doing things on his whim. He is also lecherous, which comes with an "i can die any day, so i might as well" attitude as well as his way of steaming-off from his adrenaline and/or special cultivation technique. The work is NSFW, so all easily triggered and frustrated feminists, conservative religious soccer mommies, and sexual moralists in general, seek another work instead of producing farts in the comments that only serve to stink up the room and achieve nothing beyond that. The characters are varied, even among the powerful ones, and apart from the cliche like arrogant seniors you also have seniors who step back and think before building enmity with the MC. Some characters are forgotten, some characters come back to have interesting interactions, so i can't say there's nothing to lose in memorizing characters. Write a glossary as you read. Side-character focused scenes don't take too much of the reader's time most of the times as they usually take up a quarter or third of a chapter when they happen; but they all have a purpose and aren't exactly fillers. The story itself isn't bad in terms of development speed; it's among the average level leaning slightly towards fast.=========To the staff i would suggest: Make a glossary page for the readers.Make it in chronological order of introduction and emphasize it as that because this is a good spoiler-countermeasure as readers then know up to which line to check the glossary. It is not only for the good of the users, but also for the good of the staff in regards to naming standardization.
[Not finished] This novel follows a protagonist very similar to a certain physic anime character who only wants to be normal but with slight differences, it contains a decent amount of Chinese referencing which can be slightly jarring but the overall quality of the book of good. If you’re looking for a comedy centered around the idea that the MC is just too damn strong, this is the novel for you.
This novel is absolutely amazing, the writing quality is splendid and the story is awesome. This book is about a weeb that starts out as weak as he can be but unlike other Reincarnated OP MC’s he doesn’t have any of the normal cheat like powers, the MC for this story has the power of Plot Armor-sama. The other writes it in such a way that the story comes off as fun and ligh hearted and plot armor moments are you obvious and very funny. This book is not ment to be serious as far as I can tell if your looking for a book that’s easy to read and will make you laugh. Then look no further. This is the book for you. Now with that being said author sama if this wasn’t your intention for how u wanted your book to be precieved, I am very sorry for writing this review. The story ad I right this has 7 chapters. I will change this review if the story changes of what I have written.
This is a very interesting novel. In one of the missions to qualify and enter the Dragon Division, the MC was injected with a experimental DNA serum while trying to save his comrade which resulted in his strength to decline from A grade to C grade. This resulted him to fail the qualification entry into the Dragon Division. His Instructor then recommended him into the Police force and thus the beginning of his adventure when the effects of the serum started to activate and granting him extraordinary powers
