But that's good writing—that's making you feel exactly what the characters should feel. And Yan Wuxin's response? Just 'Don't touch her' from Helian Yuchen when Yan Qixuan tries to reach out. Minimal dialogue, maximum impact. The author doesn't over-explain; they let the characters' words do the work. Yan Qixuan's 'She is still your sister. How can you be so heartless?' hits differently because it comes from someone who genuinely doesn't understand the family dysfunction. His confusion is the reader's confusion. And that line from the gaudily dressed woman—'If it weren't for Sister Mei and the others weakening the tiger to the brink of death, how could a mere Spirit Master Junior Grade like you obtain the Shoujing so easily?'—the audacity! The sheer entitlement! You can practically hear the sneer in her voice. Even the Fourth Prince's disciple saying 'Yan Wuxin is a madwoman' before passing out is perfect. Three words and you get the entire aftermath through someone else's terrified perspective. The narrative voice itself has this punchy, direct quality that matches the action. No flowery prose when a sword is coming at your face.
