These sorts of characters might work well in a more light-hearted or fast-paced story, but in a longer novel like this, they come across as overly cartoonish, verging on comical (like when the MC carelessly tosses away an entire tea set in retaliation).
The protagonist, a reincarnated main character, is somewhat less bland, as he rejects his biological family and sticks with his adoptive one. However, his journey still lacks depth.
