Well, it's fun and strange. Pop-rocks?
It's not smut, but the R-15 scenes are heated.
A country with magic, divinity, divine beasts, dhampirs, and all sorts of half-human-half-beast combinations. The main character (MC) has a hidden identity, and the male lead (ML) and second male lead (2nd ML) are heavily drawn to the MC inexplicably (just accept it; it's the MC's soul's pheromones, and rationality is turned off). The prison collapse setting makes for a nice, tense game of hide-and-seek with the main characters.
It’s fun. The packed fantasy is a bit fanfic-like with its settings, but it’s fresh and juicy to chew on.
Just saying though, this prison must be the size of an amusement park with the number of areas to explore and run through. Huge buildings A, B, C, E, and building D is a pyramid animal kingdom with jungles and rivers. The animals, of course, are berserking half-human-half-beast prisoners.
Keeping track of each building's style and prisoner type:
**A: Where saints who have sinned gather.**
In general, the clean but simple white wallpaper had orange lanterns here and there, and in the center, in the hall that was presumed to be a chapel, was a statue of a goddess descending from the sky with her eyes closed. In this place dedicated to a god, the statue of a goddess with closed eyes symbolizes the unity of the empire and the southern empire.
**B: Where low-class prisoners were imprisoned.**
The prison, which looked like a huge box, didn’t even have a single window, making it more like a sculpture than a building. The seven-story building was a humid and poorly ventilated area. The only open area was a huge door that looked as bizarre as a monster’s maw.
**C: Where nobles from the Western and Southern Empires were imprisoned.**
In the middle of the smooth wall, which looked as if a silver bead would roll smoothly, there was a huge iron door that seemed large enough for ten adults to enter side by side. On the iron gate, there was an engraving of lobelia flowers between sycamore trees and a blindfolded woman standing in the sky above the trees, symbolizing the union of the Empire and the Southern Empire.
As soon as I stepped into the castle, I suddenly lowered my head, feeling soft and light as if I was stepping on clouds. The floor was covered with a luxurious purple carpet, richly embroidered with gold thread. White pillars leading to the outdoor garden were lined up like temples here and there, and if you looked up every now and then, a chandelier instead of a spider web would sparkle, reflecting the sunlight. There was even a mural on the ceiling depicting the history of the Southern and Western Empires.
Another thing that stands out in the hallway is that there are self-portraits of middle-aged people with dark facial features that look like something from the Greek era hanging on the walls. The hallway where the iron bars should have been was tightly closed with doors made of soft mahogany wood. It felt like a dormitory, not a prison.
**D: Where Monsters who cannot communicate are imprisoned.**
Their language system is completely different, and they really don’t understand anything and probably don’t even know the concept of prisoner levels. A pyramid-shaped building surrounded by jungle, with sunlight coming through the hole in the ceiling. There seem to be no separate iron bars here. There are no weak, only the strong will survive. There is a river between buildings C, D, and inside D. There are prisoners that live in the water, so there are iron bars hung in the river.
**E: A place where things that should not exist were trapped.**
Building E houses invisible monsters. When a wizard is unable to control a summoned medium or a strange medium pops up, a request is made to Drais Prison, and the medium is immediately sealed. Building E is where such sealed media are confined. To put it simply, a medium is a living being without a shell, with only a soul remaining. In our country, it would be like a ghost with powers. Since they have no substance, confining them to a physical space is useless. So most of the time, they seal it inside a book and keep the book in a glass tube. When the book is opened, the seal is released.
**NOTE:**
This world has so many half-human-half-beast people, and this prison was built for these sentenced half-human beings as a way to respect their humanity rather than be killed as beasts. There are humans here as well, but this is the final/end prison, built for the strongest and worst prisoners.
The protagonist is an average underdog who consistently fails despite having access to cheat codes, and surprisingly, women are drawn to him like magnets. The character development leaves much to be desired.
