I don't understand why this novel receives such high ratings, as I find the main character (MC) quite dense. It seems like he collects women like Pokémon, solely for their appearance, as he's infatuated with the lead heroine. That wouldn't be a problem if he didn't constantly run away whenever she confronts him. The fact that only one supporting character (fMC) doesn't know his true identity and plans is confusing, considering most major characters do.
The repetitive formula with stronger characters and a new love interest as the "prize" is tolerable, but the lackluster development of the MC's supposed romance is frustrating. The title suggests romantic growth, yet after three-quarters of the book, there's barely any progress beyond the initial steps. What really angered me is that there was a temporary moment where MC and fMC seemed to be together, but the author reversed time and induced amnesia, resetting their relationship for over a hundred chapters – a cheap plot twist that justified a rating of 3 instead of a more balanced 3.5.
I'm not great with words, so I'll keep it simple: this novel is really enjoyable, especially if you're looking for something to pass the time.
