NightGLEWN
I'm not even going to pretend this wasn't the most emotionally charged scene in this entire batch. Let me set it up for you: Lin Zhaoyang just moved into her new home, she's been through the wringer with Yang Wen and Nini, and she's trying to build a normal life with her brother. She says they should eat at a state-owned restaurant because they have no vegetables at home. And then Zou Zhengting shows up with bags of vegetables and meat. A chicken. Fish. Shrimp. "Not just a chicken. He also had fish. And shrimp. Even the Lin family didn't eat this well during the New Year holidays." This man is expressing love through food and I am HERE FOR IT. The fact that he slaughtered a chicken specifically because he knew they hadn't eaten yet, that he cooked it exactly how she likes it (spicy braised, not clear soup), that he bought the soft floury potatoes she prefers—these are the details that make emotional beats land. And Lin Zhaoyang's internal monologue when she's standing in his kitchen: "Truthfully, over the years, Lin Zhaoyang hadn't only missed the man. She had often found herself missing his cooking too." She's allowing herself to want this. To want him. And the scene where she comes back from the furniture factory and immediately asks "Can we eat now?" because the smell is irresistible—that's not just about food. That's about her finding comfort in his presence, in his home, in the life they could have. The emotional arc here is subtle but devastating. She's not pining for Yang Wen anymore. Her brother notices: "After everything that had happened today, the fact that his sister still felt like going to a restaurant meant she wasn't too heartbroken over Yang Wen. It was nothing like when Zou Zhengting had been stolen away." She's healing. And Zou Zhengting is there, quietly, patiently, cooking her dinner.
I’m loving this new take on werewolf stories!
In the novel is comedy, action, smut and a narcissist female lead. my kind of novel
Great story about love and life.
This novel is just so amazing. Casey has high level of intelligence. She's smart and handles thing with alacrity. This is an amazing story, it's a must read.
Looking forward to more chapters!
This is awful ... I have read other books by this author, but this is just not any good. The spoken conversations are stilted and do not flow naturally. Torture to read. I'm out, bye.
okay. liked it. is there another part?
will you be bringing Ryder back to her now that she is pregnant
Great story
To be honest, I'm not very good at writing reviews, but let me share this. The novel can indeed become monotonous at some points, but I strongly recommend persisting until the end. You'll find yourself overwhelmed with emotions in the final chapters – the depth of their love for each other is truly commendable. For those considering reading it, I hope you enjoy the ride. Just a heads up, this book isn't for those seeking a lighthearted read. If you appreciate stories with intricate plots, emotional intensity, and dedicated characters, then this one is definitely for you!
Problably cause the focus has been switched to the manhwa.
