i said to my self, "why not read it"
and then here we are.

Is it worth it?
Even though the ml wants to get together with the fml the girl finds it hard to untangle the knot in her heart even after quite sometime even though she wants to be with him wholeheartedly. But later she breaks down the wall around her heart.
The author has a unique ability to create a story that is both intriguing and exasperatingly dull. The central character, a high school reincarnation with a chuuni supervillain complex, denies his true nature, which leads to a mix of foolish and impressive actions. He claims to be mentally detached from humanity, allowing him to handle extraordinary situations, yet he struggles with graphic violence and the feared growth of non-human traits. His behavior oscillates between懒散和勤奋, neglecting skill practice yet meticulously attending to his dungeon.
While the focus on a leisurely pace and minimal plot development is acceptable, the protagonist's occasional illogical behavior becomes frustrating, especially when contrasted with his competence in other areas.
My initial interest in this was due to the stark contrast between 1-star and 5-star reviews, particularly because of the focus on NTR. However, upon reading, I discovered that the book has several issues. The main character lacks agency, as events unfold around him without any proactive action on his part for the first 60 chapters.
A significant problem lies in his relationships with his girlfriend and best friend. They consistently belittle him openly, almost treating him like a bully's target. This constant disrespect makes the protagonist appear foolish, especially since he seems oblivious to it. If portrayed from the girlfriend's perspective, it could actually make for an intriguing story – a seemingly helpless victim repeatedly taken advantage of, yet still clinging to a toxic relationship.
In comparison, "Girlfriend Swap" (Koi Bi To Swap) handles this situation more effectively. The cheating girlfriend in that story genuinely cares for the protagonist, which adds depth to the drama and makes her actions more believable. Here, the lack of tension between the main character and his ex-partner feels unusual, as they show no concern for each other, which further complicates the narrative.
"World Defying God" is an enthralling literary journey that captures the essence of human ambition and the boundaries we dare to push. The narrative, filled with unexpected twists, keeps readers on the edge, as the protagonist's relentless pursuit of power and transcendence unfolds. The characters are complex, making their struggles and triumphs deeply relatable. A thought-provoking read that challenges not just imagination, but also our understanding of what it means to be human. It's a rollercoaster of emotions and intellect that leaves a lasting impression.
