I need to talk about Lin Yanran because THIS woman underwent a complete personality overhaul and I am HERE for it. And you know what? She doesn't care. She's eating snacks in front of him while he's bedridden and injured, and she's ENJOYING it. The schadenfreude is palpable. There's this one moment where she just sits there reading a novel with snacks, and Chu Mochen is having these occasional gasps of pain, and she finds the story 'quite a bit more entertaining.' That's not just petty—that's a woman who has stopped performing warmth for a man who betrayed her. And then the Sun Xinrou scene? Brutal. The slap before Sun Xinrou can even blink. 'Not just anyone is qualified to call me older sister.' She doesn't just assert dominance—she dismantles the entire hierarchy that Chu Mochen thought he could rebuild. The most chilling part is how she treats the children. When Chu Ruoyu launches herself at Lin Yanran like a cannonball, Lin Yanran just pushes her down and says she won't raise an 'unfilial girl.' She's drawing lines in sand, and every line says: these children are invaders in MY house.
This is a hilarious short story where the main character's transformation leaves everyone speechless. The male lead is incredibly affectionate towards the main character, and they hit it off immediately, falling deeply in love. It’s both funny and entertaining.
It's really enjoyable. The first chapter introduces the sword's appearance in the world, its monster-slaying capabilities, and explains its abilities, setting the stage for the rest of the volume. I appreciate this story because it avoids the clichéd harem or poorly executed romance, focusing instead on a heartwarming father-daughter relationship. Fran, a slave who discovers the sword and liberates herself, aims to achieve 'Evolution,' a first for her kind. The sword, referred to as "Teacher," wants to assist her and cares for her like a father. The narrative follows their journey as they meet new people, join a guild, battle monsters, explore cities, and hints at a larger plot that has yet to be revealed. , it’s a 10/10 for me.

Why isn't there a harem tag? Looked at the fandom page. Dude has like 8 "sexfriends." I literally only gave this novel a chance since I thought it wasn't a harem, turns out they just have new terms for it now.
Does anyone have a guess when this may end? Give me a rough chapter amount guess. I don't like reading ongoing novels but if it might be near the ending it wouldn't hurt to start soon.
