To be completely honest, I'm someone who wouldn't blink at a 16/20+ relationship dynamic in these types of novels, but if others find it uncomfortable, that's understandable. It would indeed be highly unusual when translated into a modern context, considering both characters might initially be minors. At 16, I was in my senior year of high school, and the idea of lusting after someone from elementary school (fourth grade) was inconceivable for me. However, I am a regular person, not a pervert. So, just to clarify, the male lead has perverted tendencies. That's what you'll encounter in the story.
As for the story itself, it's average at best. Going in with low expectations and mentally preparing for the perverted male lead should help you enjoy it better.

this is so similar with “my post-apocalyptic shelter levels up infinitely”.. the difference is this being about beast while the other about the shelterif you like this story i suggest trying that one, it has 700+ chapters and still ongoing and its not a confusing story
What keeps bugging me as I'm reading it (236 right this moment) is that we've been told multiple times that people can follow the dual path of both mage and warrior, which trains all of the stats. The only difference seems to be the energy type, which just seems to be a combo of magic and physical energies.I assume I'll find out later why the origin path is so 'awesome', but so far it doesn't actually seem much different than training both paths at once.
