I wish author would go back to Anthony actually showing love to Anne and her falling in love. Only way to make that possible is if Mia is caught and his evil behavior is explained to Anne and she forgives.

Deep in his heart, John doesn't really love or even like Sherry. If he did, he would never be able to treat her like this. He's the type of character who wanted her because he believed she no longer wanted him. If she's released or rescued he'd still feel initialed to her.
